Forget packing the car and gearing up at the ski slope. Simply change at home, go out the back door, strap your on skis and and within 2 minutes you can be on the ski slope. However, because of the slight slope and some traversing required, snowboarders are not able to ski-in ski-out. The ski area is very small but is a great place for beginners and when lift lines at the bigger resorts are 30+ minutes the longest lines at Tahoe Donner tend to be about 2 to 5 minutes.brbrIn Summer, we are one of the few homes in Tahoe Donner with air conditioning!brWe have beds for 14. The Town of Truckee recently implemented Short-Term-Rental rules that limits the maximum number of occupants over 12 years of age to 10. This is important and you will be responsible for paying any Tahoe Donner and Truckee fines as a result of exceeding this number.brbrThis home is at just over 7,000 feet in elevation and is not one of the 'lower' Tahoe Donner homes. There are few trees around it and this enables the expansive views. In addition, sometimes on clear nights we lie down on the back deck for awesome views of the night sky.brbrTahoe Donner is a year-round resort located in the historic town of Truckee, California. In addition to being able access the Tahoe Donner ski area from the backyard, there are many recreational opportunities of the Lake Tahoe region.brbrWalk just a quarter mile up the street while treating yourself to the amazing views from Skislope Way and you will arrive at Tahoe Donner's 35 miles of hiking trails. The extensive network of trails provides fantastic views and a great cardio workout.brbrGolfers be sure to check out the Tahoe Donner golf course--the highest elevation course in Tahoe, known for having the best greens in the region.brbrWithin Tahoe Donner you will find The Pub, The Lodge, and Pizza on the Hill. In Truckee, you will find amazing dining and shopping in a historic setting.brbrLocated on the ground floor of our mountain home is our 'dorm' room with three bunkbeds and a game room with foosball and a large-screen TV. There is also a separate washer and a dryer. On the main floor are three bedrooms--one eastern king, one queen and one with two twin beds. There is a wide open, family style great room with open kitchen and dining area. The great room opens to the back deck perfect for BBQing, relaxing, and eating. Upstairs is a loft with a trundle bed and a computer desk. The home also is equipped with Wi-Fi.brbrPlease note this house is at about 7,000 feet in elevation. If it snows you will need to have AWD or 4WD to get to it and (as with many of the homes at the higher elevations in Tahoe Donner) during snowstorms it is possible for the road and/or driveway to become temporarily impassible until they are cleared.brbrIMPORTANT: This is NOT a party house, and we strictly enforce the rental agreement. You may not have more than the reserved number of guests on the property at any time (day or night). Both the Town of Truckee and the Tahoe Donner Association forbid loud noise, or music after 10 pm and before 7 am. This is absolutely a NON-smoking property, no exceptions. Violations of the rental agreement will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and could result in substantial legal liability, so please read it carefully. Checkout time is 11am. One guest room has a very comfortable Queen bed, and the other guest room has a twin over full bunk bed, with two very comfortable mattresses. These two rooms share a bathroom in a Jack and Jill configuration, where both rooms have direct access to the bathroom. brbrThe home has two full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. One full bathroom is attached to the Master Suit, and the other can be accessed by both of the Guest bedrooms, in a Jack and Jill configuration. There are also two half baths. One is in the loft, and the other is in the hallway on the main level. A very convenient and smart bathroom configuration for the house.brbrThe Prosser Lake View Estates area is a hidden gem in the Truckee/Tahoe area. A new furnace and wood-stove keep the house nice and warm in the winter. brbr3 Bedrooms are as follows: one king, one queen and two twins. There is also a small bedroom with a single bed off of the master bedroom, a loft with a twin day bed and another small dorm-style sleeping loft with a full mattress. A portable crib and queen-sized air mattress are also available for your use.brbrThere is a basement entertainment room with a 101 screen projection TV with DVD player, streaming and movie library. Downstairs also has a Finnish sauna and 3rd bathroom. The back deck has a 6-person private hot tub. brbrThe house is part of the Tahoe Donner Association so you have guest access to all of the Tahoe Donner facilities - the marina, the well-equipped gym and pools, and the equestrian & mountain bike center. brbrThe driveway is flat (important in winter), can easily fit 4 cars, and the garage has space for one car.
