Up the street you'll find Idyllwild's most popular hiking trails at Humber Park. brbrThe house features a single level widespread 2,100 sqft floor plan with separate sleeping areas, dining areas, and living room, and entertaining space. You can access the house through stairs or a concrete path and is about 2 miles from town.brbrThere is NO cell reception at the house but we have high speed wifi and a house phone that you are welcome to use to make and receive calls within the US. As we are in a small mountain town, sometimes our wifi and power goes out but that is rare. This house is the perfect way to get semi-off the grid without giving up comfort or entertainment. We have two TVs in our common spaces with DVD/Blu-ray players at each, tons of board games, puzzles, and a large outdoor space to enjoy.

The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a beautiful window overlooking the forest. The third bedroom also has a Queen-size bed and a standing desk with two available external floating screens that can be connected to your laptop, ready for remote working if desired. The WiFi is strong. There are two bathrooms. The brand new luxurious kitchen and living space are bright and perfect for cooking meals and enjoying a relaxing afternoon. You can also enjoy watching TV and playing board games by the fireplace in the living room The deck provides a beautiful space to be outdoors and to enjoy the trees and majestic views of the mountain. The hot tub is ideally placed so you can enjoy the views of the forest. Spring has Spring! Fern Valley--the Perfect Spot Any Time of Year

In the beautiful Fern Valley area of Idyllwild, the home is bright, sunny and open, and the perfect mountain getaway for a group of friends, one or two couples, or a couple with children. brbrBuilt in 2002, the home has all the modern conveniences (forced air heating, air conditioning, gas fireplace, microwave, dishwasher, electric stove and oven) and every comfort you'd want in that getaway trip. Everything is on the first floor (there is a loft above the kitchen but nothing is up there) and the two bedrooms have queen beds and their own bathrooms with showers. There is a washer/dryer as well. The bedrooms and living room are carpeted for cozy warmth, and the kitchen, bathrooms, dining area and hallways are tiled. The huge deck has a table and chairs and is the perfect place to sit out and watch the wildlife and incredible sunsets. brbrThe road to the home as well as the driveway are wide and well-maintained. It's only 1.4 miles to the center of town, and even less to many beautiful hiking trails, from easy to moderate to strenuous levels of difficulty. We even discovered the home is about 75 yards from the popular and easy Ernie Maxwell Trail, which also runs to and from Humber Park. brbrWhen we come up to Idyllwild we find our weekends last very long as time seems to go slower when we're relaxing and simply enjoying the beauty of the area.brbrCheck-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. For earlier or later times please ask me and we try to accommodate but it depends on the previous and next guests and the housekeeping schedule. For groups with more than four adults (ages 10 and over) a charge of $30 per night per extra guest will be charged (maximum five guests). Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m.to 7:00 a.m. We ask that if you have more than two bags of trash you make a trip to the dump: Idyllwild Transfer Center at 28100 Saunders Meadow Rd.
