Over the years, we have stayed at a variety of rental properties in the Idyllwild area and this home was one of the nicest! It is very spacious and clean and the kitchen was well equipped! Something for everyone, whether you need a nice retreat or enjoy the activity of the town center, that is within easy walking distance!

The hostess very communicative and easy to work with. The location of this house truly is the best in town, no exaggeration. The backyard is really wonderful, especially for kids to wander and explore.

The place had everything to make for a very comfortable stay. Really close to the main town square area, so we walked there all the time. Hosts were very communicative and responded to any and all requests very quickly.

We had a great 10 days. Most of the time it was just my wife and I but our daughter and husband joined us for a couple of days. We loved the property with plenty of squirrels, jays and chipmunks. The description is spot-on and everything was as expected. Location is ideal for access to the town and restaurants. Kitchen was well-stocked if one wanted to eat in. We look forward to our next visit!

This house is so happy and relaxing and fun!!! It was clean and so well appointed with everything you need! The yard is a 10 to relax and for kids to play, it’s heaven. We were so sad to leave!

Would come back to this property over and over! Location is perfect with a short walk to get into town for restaurants, shops and small town feel. The hosts were so communicative in every way.... we travel with 2 Golden Retrievers and they made their stay so comfortable as well! Large yard to play in and welcoming treats, dog bowls, paw wipes too! Kitchen is very well stocked with just about everything you could use or want! Can't say enough about this perfect place to stay!!!

Walk to bagels, upscale Italian, the movie theatre, ice cream, the gift shop. . Seriously awesome location. Will stay again.

A charming house with all the amenities which made our family's stay fun and comfortable. The lava room was our grandsons' favorite. The location was within walking distance to the village. The hosts were helpful and easily receptive to our needs. I could this house being our family's favorite annual retreat

This property is wonderful! I’ve been going to Idyllwild for years and have stayed many places. The location of this home is perfect and the grounds are interesting and fun!! Three bridges over a seasonal creek. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice. The couches and fireplace combo were perfect for us. Being about to bring the dogs was convenient and the house was very clean and didn’t smell like any pets or anything. We lived it all!! The kids especially loved the lava lounge and extra games.

We were there for just one quick night, but it was our first time to Idyllwild and we fell in love with the little town just seconds away walking from the cabin.The cabin was spacious and easily accommodated our family of six and our two dogs.We will definitely be coming back!

My daughter wanted to spend her 13th bday in a cabin that was within walking distance of town. Boy did this fit the bill! Very confidante home and the 13 year old girls loved the lift area. In the warmer weather, i can imagine the yard is so amazing and inviting for adventure but we're a bunch of babies so it was too cold for us to spend much time out. I would urge anyone wanting to stay at a place to check out the town to stay here!

All went well on our stay. Property is in great location, close to town and hiking trails(drivable). Home is older, feels rustic but everything worked. We used the wood burning fireplace every day and it was a godsend on the cool nights and mornings! Great communication with host Melissa, very quick with any inquiries.

Perfect location - in town, but off the path, so quiet and woodsy but walkable to everything. The cleanest cabin I have ever stayed in, it was immaculate. Everything is labeled and all questions answered by binder and signs in the cabin. Very comfortable and inviting space. Dog and family friendly.

The house was well equipped and very clean. They even had treats ready for our dog. You can’t beat the location.

Perfect location within a short walking distance to town. Property is clean and well stocked with everything you may need. Fluffy tailed squirrels put on a show all day long right out your windows.

Cheerful, clean welcoming place on quiet street about 1 minute walk to town (visit the ice cream shop!) 3 minute walk to our writers retreat lodge. So convenient for us! Managers were friendly, easy to get hold of, quickly responded to questions. Layout is private master bedroom with bathroom, two bedrooms on other side of LR with shared bathroom. Kitchen nicely stocked, not just with all the cookware, cutlery, mugs, gadgets etc etc. you’d need, but also with nice array of basic spices, and life-saving …. coffee. Bathroom towels are of a high standard and bedding wonderfully comfortable. Cons: Lots of windows but dim at night, common to the area (efficiency bulbs). Bring your own shampoo. Bottom line: I’ve stayed in other places in the area and would definitely come back to this one. :-)

Loved everything about this spot. Easy walking access to everything downtown, and the surrounding gardens make you feel like you’re farther away from it all. The fresh apples off the tree and the lava room are a nice bonus.

The house was lovely with great access to the town and restaurants. The owners were quick to respond to any questions we had and provided a great experience. The house has something for everyone, especially a fun hideaway loft for the kids.

Nice, but check in date was horrible. Kind of ruined our entire trip.

This is our third visit and it gets better each time we go. The home is very well stocked with the essentials for a great stay.

The Cedar Street house is great... perfect location, walkable to everything, beautiful surrounds and views and even with the very close proximity to the village feels tucked away in its own little pocket of forest. The house was immaculate and very well appointed with supplies for our family of five and furball companion. Would definitely stay again.
