Rustic Elegance - A Woodland Escape

Another Thanksgiving with family. We had a great stay… kitchen is fully stocked for a holiday meal, beds are comfortable and the wood burning stove is perfect! About a 30-40 min walk into Idyllwild but not a difficult one. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the annual tree lighting. Only thing that would have made it that much better would’ve been some snow. Merry Christmas!

This property is so pretty! It is tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood. The cabin is well stocked with basic necessities, clean, and is just beautiful. Plus it is pet friendly which we needed. Mark was very attentive during the booking and check in process. We will definitely be staying again when we visit Idyllwild. Highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Eagle's Nest! It is an absolutely beautiful cabin and guest house, as well as providing every comfort we desired. The kids loved walking around playing with sticks and rocks and the adults loved the forest and sunny patio. We hope to come back again. Just because it was not immediately obvious, here are my few notes to those considering booking: 1. The driveway is below street level. We had no problem in our sedan, but would definitely be harder to traverse in the snow. Also, the street number is after the first driveway, so we weren't sure we were in the right place at first. 2. The guest cabin is beautiful and comfortable, but access for older/less stable individuals is not that easy. We were going to give it to my mother only to realize it was harder to get to. Easy switch for my family, but a gentle warming to others who may have people who struggle to do stairs or a hill. 3. The king bed is in the loft, and is truly glorious, but has no door. We decided that was going to be hard to keep a toddler contained and away from the stairs to we stayed in the queen room downstairs.4. The loft and the guest house each have a half bath, which is wonderful and convenient. The one full bath is HUGE, but if you all were trying to shower for an event or something like that is not as convenient. 5. Go ahead and book, you will not be disappointed!

Eagles Nest was the perfect getaway. It was simply excellent—clean, cozy, and conveniently close to town. A true cabin experience. The well-stocked kitchen, spacious layout, and warm wood stove made for a comfortable stay. The host, Mark, was superb; highly responsive and provided great communication. Mark’s place was absolutely perfect for our weekend in idyllwild. Easy checkin, close to town, quiet but cozy cabin, and lots of space. Would definitely book again when we come back!!

A wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving. Our 9th year in Idyllwild… best cabin so far! Kitchen well stocked, cabin very clean & decorated (not cluttered). Kitchen accommodated a full Thanksgiving meal. ‘Extra’ cabin in the back was a plus, altho a small dresser would be beneficial. The wood stove in main cabin was awesome… warmed up the entire place! We were in Awe walking into the Eagles Nest Rental. It was rustic yet modern. Very comforable, very tranquil.

We came to idyllwild to escape the heat and relax. Little confusion with the listing description we thought it had air conditioning instead it had evaporator coolers the host/owner was on it and rectified the situation. Ironically he is putting central air in. Because of the situation we were invited back to stay again when the air conditioning is in place. Could not have handled it better. I totally recommend staying here.

We loved the cabin and it was exactly as advertised. It was close to town and very cute and comfortable. Would definitely come stay again!
