Reese's Retreat, named 50 years ago when our parents bought the property, is located on Beasley lake, the last lake on the fun-loving, water-sport mecca of the lower chain, connecting via Beasley Creek to the peaceful nature sanctuary of the upper chain. brbrSit on the wrap-around deck and watch the world go by. Enjoy fishing/swimming off the dock to our private swim raft not far offshore, or my favorite: float with a cool drink and catch up with those you love. No worries about the kids in kayaks or floats: Beasley is a safe, no-wake lake. The middle of our lake is a favorite for swimmers, as is the sandy shore at the end of adjoining long lake where all ages float, put chairs in the shallow water to talk, throw balls, play or just generally splash around. 2 kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, a rowboat, floaties of every description and a canoe are included with the rental. Pack a cooler and tour the lakes, tie up at Clear Water Harbor for live music and eats, or park on a sandbar in style.brbrOur large lakeside yard is surrounded by beautiful plantings, which create a private space for your group to play volleyball, Frisbee, or have an after-dark campfire.brbrThe main level's open floor plan allows the great room with it's wood burning fireplace to flow into the kitchen so no one is left out. A connected 3-season porch offers outdoor eating without hassle or mosquitoes. Lots of seating and a gas grill steps away on the deck make things easy. After dinner it's a short walk to Tom Thumb's mini-golf, then a s'more-making, story-telling session around the fire pit. Or you can choose to do nothing but sit on the deck, listen to the frogs and watch for shooting stars.brbrOur family purchased the property in the early 1960's, and replaced the original cottage with this large house in 2005 to accommodate our growing brood. We designed the walk-out level to be quite separate. It consists of a big screen entertainment center, huge leather couch with built-in recliners, 2 bedrooms which sleep 4, a bathroom, wet bar with fridge, and the laundry room. If your family is like ours, you have early birds, but you also have night-owls who like to watch movies, eat chips and make lots of noise into the night. No problem. NEW LISTING! Located in beautiful Waushara County, our charming crimson cottage is nestled in between towering white pines overlooking crystal clear Long Lake. Our bay is no wake, which offers peace and solitude and some of the best fishing habitat on the lake. Long Lake is a pristine, full-rec lake located 9 miles south of Waupaca in Waushara County, Wisconsin (please note: this is not part of the Chain of Lakes). The lake is 254 acres in size with a maximum depth of 71 feet. It offers a vast variety of fish...including Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike. It's also great for almost every type of water recreation, including jet skiing, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. While we have beautiful lake frontage, we do not have a sandy beach. There is however, the perfect sandy swimming spot within our bay just a short paddle or boat ride away. There is a 22-foot pontoon boat on site available to rent. We also have 2 kayaks (1-double and 1 single), a canoe and a paddle board for your use, which are included in your stay. brOur NEWLY RENOVATED cozy cottage offers Mid-Century charm and is perfect for a romantic couples getaway. It features 2 bedrooms, a full-size bathroom, full kitchen with all of the amenities, free Wi-Fi and a Smart TV. We also have a wide array of DVDs, books and games for your enjoyment during your stay. We offer all of the amenities of home to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. The large wraparound deck is a great place to enjoy the lake view with your morning coffee, to relax in the shade of the towering pines with a book or to grill out as the sun sets over the bay. Our dock is the best spot to soak up some vitamin D or to do some fishing from shore. Welcome to the spacious and beautiful Chain O' Lakes Calm Waters Vacation Home! This home has plenty space for your family to enjoy or even can accommodate multiple families! Your ideal vacation starts with ample parking for 6 vehicles right out front of the home! Enter through the sunroom and take a load off while taking in the beautiful views of the lake. Observe the open concept as you enter the home and look out the sliding doors to the lake. Sit on the sofa and take in the natural beauty of the property! Trees on the property keep our home private while still allowing picturesque views of the water! The kitchen is stocked up with pots, pans, plates, silverware and cups. There is a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and coffee maker. The master is on the main floor and has an attached full bathroom. The master has one queen bed and a desk. br The 2nd bedroom is also on the main floor with one queen bed and one full bed. There is also one more full bath on the main level. Upstairs find two additional bedrooms. The 3rd bedroom has one queen bed and a twin bed. There is also space in this room for an air mattress or a pack and play. The 4th bedroom has two queen beds and many windows as well. There is a third full bathroom on the second floor between the two bedrooms. Downstairs on the basement walkout level you will find a bar area with plenty of stools along with a high top table to hang out at. The basement also has a pool table for your enjoyment. There is a half bathroom on this level along with a washing machine, dryer and additional refrigerator. Walk down to the waterfront from the deck or the lower level. The deck offers additional seating along with a charcoal grill. The lower walkout also has a picnic table for even more seating! The shed offers plenty of inflatables to enjoy on the water and additional chairs for lounging. There is a firepit for hanging out in the evening and roasting marshmallows. Enter the lake through the gradual walkout or take a plunge off the end of the dock into 8ft of beautiful spring fed water! Calm Waters is definitely a gem on Limekiln Lake. We are a no wake lake so no worries about jet skis and boats speeding by while the children (or you) are swimming. However, when you want to go to a recreational lake and enjoy water sports we have two recreational lakes just around the corner from the home! We have 4 kayaks, a stand up paddle board and paddle boat for your enjoyment! There is also a pontoon boat available for rent. Please contact us for information if interested. br Calm Waters is a 0.5 mile walk from Indian Crossings Casino, The Wheelhouse Restaurant, Oakwood Park and Scoopers Ice Cream! The smell of waffle cones when you walk into Scoopers is truly mouthwatering! Calm Waters is also a quick 2.5 mile drive or a 10 minute boat ride to Clearwater Harbor Waterfront Restaurant and Bar! Dock your boat and enjoy the bands that play on their pontoon! Downtown Waupaca is about 7 miles away and Stevens Point is 28 miles away. Hartman Creek State Park (2.4 miles away) offers biking, hiking and snowshoeing. Standing Rock Red and Blue Mountain Bike Loop is 5.7 miles away and is accessible all year with biking, hiking and cross country skiing. Nordic Mountain Ski Area is 24 miles away and offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing and free mountain biking. Enjoy sipping your coffee on the dock, fishing or swimming right on Dake Lake. We have a large swim raft, kayaks, canoe and tons of water toys to enjoy. We also give your family our personal pontoon boat at no extra charge with a 7 night stay to motor over to Columbia or the many other lakes for some cheese curds, ice cream or dinner. brbrHouse is fully furnished with 16 person dining table a large sectional couch and oversized chairs in what we call our Family Room or gathering room. Kitchen features a double oven, second refrigerator and elaborate coffee station - we take coffee seriously in Waupaca. It's completely stocked with large families in mind, we have several crockpots, nesco, oversized pans, electric griddle we most likely have it. Your families head chief won't have any trouble whipping up the family favorites in this kitchen. Clean up is a breeze with the dishwasher, we also have filter water and a large ice maker for your beverages. brbrSleeping arrangements: We Sleep 22 or more but our most unique bedrooms are what we call our family style rooms let me try to walk you through these rooms - we have 2 we call them the Red room and blue room. They feature a king size bed for mom and dad and on the other side of the curtain is like a additional room where you can sleep 5 more with a triple bunk and full size bed both of these are located upstairs. brOur 3rd bedroom also on the second level has a king bed. We also have a Full Bathroom upstairs and our second set of washer and dryer - this is a huge home so 2 sets are a must. The 4th bedroom is located on the first floor right off our Family room or large gathering room with a king bed we call this the white room. Our Fifth Bedroom is called the Green Room it is very private and located close to the front door it has a seperate heating and cooling system because it is located close to the front door it also has a king bed. For some additional sleeping if needed we have a cozy sitting room with Gas Fireplace and 1 hide away couch and a Futon couch for extra sleeping (queen size & Full), chess table, card table and tons of games along with a Pac Man small game counsel and a Large variety over 300 Arcade Game. We have also just added in 2024 a full body massage chair. brbrWe have a large yard with a garage stocked with tons of outdoor yard games, ping pong table, darts, toys for the kids, stroller extra life jackets etc. This is our family cottage but we don't have time to use it all year so whatever we have is your to enjoy as well. We have fire wood on site and a fire pit, 2 picnic tables, nice outdoor chairs and benches, even a tree swing. brbr1 Canoe, 4 Kayak's, 15ft rubber Swim mat just to name of few of the water toys, large Pontoon also included with 7 day rental.brbrWe rent from Sunday to Sunday only during June, July & August. We have also stocked the closet with board games and puzzles. brbrWe have a total of 5-bedrooms: 3-bedrooms (all with queen size beds) located on the 2nd floor. There is a spacious bonus sleeping area off of the 2nd bedroom. This bonus room has 2-twin beds, a twin bed with trundle. This configuration makes for a nice family suite.brbrThe family room has an AMAZING view of Dake Lake. Beautiful cherrywood bookcases flank the gas log fireplace. With a simple touch of the remote, the fireplace will turn on offering a warm ambience. 65 flat screen Smart TV with room darkening curtains provide a relaxing atmosphere. No cable tv or subscriptions.brbrThe kitchen is fully stocked with the usual suspects--electric oven/glass stove top burners, top freezer/bottom refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal etc. We have added a couple of fun items--an ice maker and a designated coffee/tea area--coffee pot/single serve, stove top kettle, electric kettle along with various sweeteners, non-dairy creamers, coffees and teas. Also, plenty of platters and items for your entertaining needs. The kitchen eating area can seat (6) and has picture windows with the lake view.brbrThe separate dining room has seating for (10) with a reading nook by the window. For times when the gang wants to eat together, we also provide a foldable banquet table with (8) folding chairs in the garage. brbrIn the lower level, there are 2-bedrooms; one with a queen size bed, the other with 2-sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4 people under 100 lbs).
