The Grove is ready to welcome you to Northern Wisconsin! Whether you are coming to celebrate a milestone, relax and unplug for the week or cast a line, this is the place for you. The Grove is nestled in what was once known as Sister’s Bay, connecting Red Cedar and Hemlock Lakes in Mikana, WI–some might say this location is simply a paddler’s paradise and a fishermen’s haven. The quiet lakefront mixed with the small patch of woods along the east shoreline sets the scene for the perfect getaway.brbrbrThe spacebrOutdoors you will find a large concrete patio equipped with an outdoor kitchen and dining area, kayaks and paddleboards accompanied by a launch dock, a wooded-path that leads you down the shoreline to “The Point” and plenty of green space for all of the yard games. Taking it inside, you will find the layout to suit all of your needs. The upstairs level serves as the primary “living space” equipped with two bedrooms, a full bath and an open-concept kitchen and living area overlooking the lake; the downstairs is perfect for accommodating all of the activities your day brings with a refreshment and food prep area, half bathroom, and laundry. The downstairs also has an open-concept sleeping area/bedroom with two queen beds. There is an entrance option on each level of the cabin.brbrbrWhere you will sleep:brbrBedroom #1 (upstairs): The master bedroom has a queen bed, SMART TV and overlooks the bay. It also has room-darkening shades for those mornings you just want to sleep in a bit longer than the sun.brbrBedroom #2 (upstairs): The guest bedroom is equipped with two twin beds, a collapsable crib and crib mattress, and room-darkening shades.brbrOpen-Concept Bedroom #3 (downstairs): Just off of the stairs, there is an open-concept sleeping area with two queen beds and plenty of floor space for a sleeping bag, blow up mattress, or pack-n-play. There is no door on this space but rather curtains to pull for privacy, if needed.brbrWhere you will cook and dine:brbrKitchen (upstairs): The kitchen is equipped with a stove/oven, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator and all of the cooking pans and utensils you will need along with dining essentials. The center island seats four-five people and the dining table adjacent to it seats four. When you are finished, the dishwasher or sink are waiting for you at ease.brbrFood and Drink Prep Area (downstairs): Downstairs is a host's dream! There is a drink-making station along with a space to sprawl out spreads to munch on throughout the day. There is also a full sink in the same area.brbrOutside, you will find a gas grill, Blackstone grill, kitchen prep area and a few different seating options so that you can soak up as much fresh air as possible!brbrWhere you will freshen up:brbrFull Bathroom (upstairs): Enjoy a relaxing bath or shower in the upstairs bathroom directly across from the master bedroom. Find child bath toys and a safety mat in the drawer to the right.brbr1/2 Bathroom (downstairs): This bathroom is perfect for guests staying downstairs or to simply run in and out of before you head to the lake.brbrWhere you will play:brbrFront yard: Perfect for badminton, kubb, croquet, bocce ball or a game of freeze tag!brbrLakefront: Enjoy the two kayaks and two paddle boards throughout your stay (find life jackets in the garage). There is a kayak/SUP launch dock as well as a larger dock. We do not have a boat, but there is a public landing near by and you are welcome to tie up your own to the dock or reach out to us after booking for boat rental options in the area. You are encouraged to bring water shoes and enjoy a little muck exploration as you wade and swim through the water as it is not super sandy nor rocky. Take a stroll down to The Point many times throughout your day (a great run for littles and pups).brbrBackyard: Strike up a fire in the evening hours and enjoy the chairs placed around the pit. The fire wood and contents in the kindling box are yours to use. Set up bean bags or play in the sandbox while overlooking the bay area.brbrGuest accessbrThe entire space is yours to enjoy aside from a few locked closets; these will be noted and locked.
