Enjoy a walk down nearby College Ave and enjoy the remarkable architecture.brbrYou can access the lakefront from a recently constructed staircase in the back yard. The shoreline is rocky but swimming and kayaking is permitted. We provide a 2 person kayak and lifejackets for your use. There are also two lakefront parks within walking distance to the house, one with a small beach. brbrThis house was built in 1913, was significantly remodeled in 1963, and then again recently. Look closely for some original features including servant bells and the dumbwaiter (now a laundry chute). brbrThere is not central air conditioning, however all of the windows open and the lake breezes keep it much cooler than even one block west. There are window AC units or wall units in every bedroom and the living room. brbrOutdoor amenities include grill, hammock, hot tub, fire table and solo stove.

The master bedroom has a great ensuite bath and California closet, and the shared bath has a jetted tub, perfect for even more relaxation.brbrThe whole house is yours aside from a locked storage area in the basement. The garage, while accessible, is storing our vehicles. However, there is space for 2 or possibly 3 cars in the driveway depending on their size. There are SIX total access doors from indoor to outdoor, you’re sure to have a lot of fun exploring!brbrWe are right next to Lake Michigan, just haven’t advertised it much since we're at the top of a small bluff without direct access. In winter we have a lovely lake view, but the lot is so heavily forested that you don't see past the trees in other seasons. We have a ravine in the back with a small creek that becomes a stream if it rains a lot, and we also see wildlife in the yard sometimes such as tons of birds, deer, and foxes.brbrThis is mostly a ranch-style home, however the entertainment room with TV and air hockey that leads to the screened in porch is sunken, there are 2 steps to access. There is a normal flight of stairs down to the lower level billiards/bar area, office and laundry.
