Why settle for ordinary when truly memorable is within reach Featured in Architectural Digest, this historic home is a shining example of the famous mid-century modern design with open spaces, soaring ceilings, endless windows, and connection to the outdoors.

Entertainment is covered with bluetooth speakers, air hockey and billiards, 2 TV areas, piano, books and board games. Outside has two decks, propane grill, dining area and fire pit, playset with slide/swings, and cozy screened-in patio.

You'll have so much space to sprawl out and relax here. Never-ending windows showcase surrounding rugged beauty from every room, and many luxury touches such as all 1800 thread-count sheets are sure to delight. You’ll even find fun, unique and unexpected details throughout. For example, have you ever seen a photo-mural bathroom ceiling

Spend an evening socializing at the lower level bar (it has its own fridge!) and watch the game while shooting some pool. Or grill some dinner out back and enjoy winter lake views on the deck, followed by s’mores around the fire pit. In the morning, relax on the screened in patio curled up with coffee and a blanket.

Bringing the kids They’ll love the slide and tire swings, plus have plenty of room to roam, outdoors or in. Bringing the dog One of our queen bedrooms has direct access to a fenced in dog run. You can simply open the door and have him (or her) run right out, as the fenced area surrounds the doorway. If there are any dancers in your group, this bedroom also has a mirror wall and ballet barre. We did promise unexpected details, after all!

The kitchen is a chef's wonderland with a 6-burner Viking range, vast assortment of accessories and pots and pans, convection microwave and tons of counter space. There's even a separate butler's pantry with an extra sink and prep space.

The three bedrooms have two queen and one full bed. There is a twin mattress with foldout frame in one of the closets in case you need it. The master bedroom has a great ensuite bath and California closet, and the shared bath has a jetted tub, perfect for even more relaxation.

The whole house is yours aside from a locked storage area in the basement. The garage, while accessible, is storing our vehicles. However, there is space for 2 or possibly 3 cars in the driveway depending on their size. There are SIX total access doors from indoor to outdoor, you’re sure to have a lot of fun exploring!

We are right next to Lake Michigan, just haven’t advertised it much since we're at the top of a small bluff without direct access. In winter we have a lovely lake view, but the lot is so heavily forested that you don't see past the trees in other seasons. We have a ravine in the back with a small creek that becomes a stream if it rains a lot, and we also see wildlife in the yard sometimes such as tons of birds, deer, and foxes.

This is mostly a ranch-style home, however the entertainment room with TV and air hockey that leads to the screened in porch is sunken, there are 2 steps to access. There is a normal flight of stairs down to the lower level billiards/bar area, office and laundry.

The house is like a blast from the past. Well maintained and looks to be all original. Was able to spend some quality family time with my son and his girlfriend, cook for the family and just relax. Unfortunately it was rainy and cold but who cares when you have family to spend time with.

We loved our stay at this beautiful MCM home. There are so many unique details at this property. If you like architecture, you can't find a better place. The kitchen is unique and has everything you could need to cook and entertain. Views from the huge windows and the flow of the place made us not want to leave. From early check-in to making adjustments due to severe weather, the host was responsive and helpful. A book on the architect and the house was a nice touch. I feel lucky that we found this place and even luckier that we got to be part of the history of the home even for a short time.

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our time together. The beds were comfortable and the quiet spot near Lake Michigan can't be beat.

A kitschy house in the woods of Wisconsin. We enjoyed Lake Michigan and visiting Kenosha & Racine. The Hob Nob Supper club is practically next door & a fantastic dining experience.

House has a lot of character. We were overall comfortable and had what we needed. Wish we were away from the busy road but it’s fine. I think some things just looked more worn than in the photos, but it was adequate and owners were responsive when we had a lighting issue.

Our party consisted of two grandmothers, two parents, 1 teenager, 1 tweenager, and a 25 lb dog. All of us loved the space, with all the nooks for everyone to have alone time and together time as needed. The kids used the pool table and air hockey table so much, which was great because there were no instances of anyone saying they were bored! Each of us enjoyed the screened in porch at different times during our stay. My partner and I both love architecture and design, and this house was a treasure trove of inspiration. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved it.

I feel like I stepped back in time. The mid century vibe was like a movie scene. This property is great! However it needs a good window cleaning, the landscape is lacking luster for the desired vibe. This house has tons of potential and could be elevated to a whole new level with some love.
