Stayed Dec 31, 2024Our stay was amazing, the house was great way more than enough space. I have a pretty big family. The pictures don’t show the true size of space you have. All of the bedrooms are nice sizes the 2 upstairs have lots of space the beds are so comfortable to literally melt in them and the pillows lolbvs I was looking up the mattresses to find one for my home. Nice inside porch on the back and huge backyard it’s fenced in, nice size kitchen and living room and dining area. Great place for people with big families lots of space and a huge open basement with nice size bathroom if this was my place I would add a couch and tv in the basement for more space it’s just that big. Again thank you we loved your home!!!!!

Stayed Jun 30, 2023This deceptively spacious bungalow housed and slept our group of 12 quite comfortably. The house was clean and tidy, and had all the amenities we needed... including a fun patio in the backyard! Chris was very easy to work with, and access to the house was a breeze. We're already planning our stay for next year!

Stayed Jun 23, 2023The house was comfortable with nice architectural details on the main floor. The bedding was great, the kitchen well stocked, and the welcome snacks and wine were appreciated. There was plenty of space for both group and individuals. The AC on the main floor was great and a fan to push the upstairs AC is recommended. We enjoyed the back yard seating. The main floor bathroom with jacuzzi was pleasant but tight, and the basement bathroom had a nice walk in shower. Checkin was easy and Christopher answered the phone and email right away. The neighborhood was pleasant with street parking and a bakery, coffee shop, and pizza place within easy walking distance. We recommend this comfy house!

Stayed Mar 7, 2023We were in town to celebrate Mom's birthday. It worked out very well because of the proximity of her condo. This house is a cozy piece of West Racine history in a great location. Would have loved to use the cute backyard but we ended up getting 9.5 inches of snow LOL. Only downfalls were that it was not handicap accessible and there was no bath on the second floor. There was a great full bath in the basement however, which was a godsend. Thank you Chris for sharing your home. It was perfect for our stay.

Stayed Nov 30, 2022What a charming, comfy, delightful property in a nice, residential neighborhood just minutes from downtown Racine and their local curling club. We enjoyed the rock and roll theme. The house was spotless with every amenity. Did not get to enjoy the lovely backyard and enclosed porch, as we visited when temps were in the 20’s. We hope to return in warmer weather to enjoy the lake and outdoor activities. Chris is the host with the most. He made certain our every need was met. We would definitely recommend.

Stayed Dec 27, 2021Our family and my sister-in-law‘s family stayed together in this house while visiting my mother- and father-in-law, who live in Racine. We found the house very comfortable, with lots of room for both our families, for four active kids, and the ability to make good meals and all sit together to enjoy them. The dining room table sits six, and combined with the three barstools nearby, made it possible for us to sit together at meals easily. We also were able to gather around the table to do crafts or play games, because it’s quite large. In some of the houses we’ve rented, that isn’t so: this was an amenity we appreciated. The children loved having the loft bedrooms to themselves, and having doors that shut in between them made it possible for the teenagers to get some privacy when they needed it. There was more than enough room in the first bedroom to sleep all four kids with the futon, and I can see how it would be a wonderful space for large families. We appreciated having two bathrooms, and the one in the basement was lovely and large. The one on the first story is a little cramped, and the position of the toilet is a little strange, but it didn’t bother the kids, so we made it work. The kitchen was really bag, and it gave us the chance to make meals all together without bumping into each other. We also really appreciate it the large counter space that was available, so we could spread food out and everybody could take what they wanted. There were more than enough utensils and pans to help us prepare meals, but we did miss some of the basic condiments we often find in rental houses. In addition, there definitely needs to be more spoons. There were only four large soup spoons, and we truly felt the need for teaspoons and for many more available. Even if there had been eight spoons, there was a good chance we would have used them all during breakfast alone. However, the dishwasher worked great and we made it work. We appreciated the inclusion of children’s utensils. The backyard looked gorgeous, and we were impressed by the screened in porch as well. It was quite cold, so we didn’t really access either, but this house would be amazing in the summer! We were a little worried about street parking, but it worked out easily. We rarely had to park more than two or three houses away, and found spots easily even when parking for the night, which limited you to one side or the other. The living room was super comfortable, too!

Stayed Jul 26, 2021The house has everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. The neighbors are quiet and friendly, Racine is a small city but with many good places to visit. Chris was super easy to contact, so I definitely recommend this place to stay with family or friends and enjoy life.
