Upstairs you will find a kid-friendly bonus sleeping area with four twin sized beds, full bathroom, and an aerial view of Stone Lake. Whether its peace and quiet, outdoor activities, a place to work or all three, this artistic cabin has it all. This is a 30 day only rental which lets you unpack your bags and breathe. Winman access is a half mile down the road where there are miles of bike, ski and hiking paths. Paved bike and groomed X-C trails, chain of lakes are all near by.br Moonlight on Hiawatha is a magical place. It is a place where you can literally hear nothing or if you do it’s the wildlife around you. Enjoy the osprey that often perches on the dead tree near the dock, the loons that talk to each other during the night, the fluttering of hummingbirds, and the deer that just pass through the yard. brIt is a place where fresh air, calm water and trees around you seem to make life slow down a bit… Magical. brThe space is warm and inviting and has all the modern cooking appliances that you may need. There will be the basics in the kitchen like spices, flour and sugar and a bag of Bayfield blueberries in the freezer to make blueberry pancakes your first morning (for some reason this is what I make every time I have guests in the north woods). brThe downstairs is an open concept where the kitchen, dining and living room are all together…perfect for conversation. There is one tv and internet service. brThe upstairs has the master bedroom, full bathroom and a loft with a bed and work area. A perfect place to draw, paint or craft. brThe property has natural air conditioning. Windows stay closed if you want it cold, open them up to warm it. brPlease note that a dog and cat live in this house when I am not renting it. Although your space will be spotless upon arrival, if you have sensitivities to animals, this may not be the place for you. I will allow a dog if you convince me that they are super well behaved:)brThe back porch has a seating (or napping) area and dining table overlooking the yard and lake. There is a fire pit with 4 chairs waiting for a campfire and s’mores. Because I love being on the porch and outside, I do have my property sprayed for mosquitoes. It has been a game changer! brThe lake is mostly rock bottom (at least around the dock) and deep. This is a non motorized lake. There is no public lake access. It is a wonderful swimming/ floating/ paddle boarding/ fishing/and sunrise watching lake. Fishing rods and reels are available along with a row boat with trolling motor and canoe. brThe Manitowish Waters/Winchester area is full of outdoor and community experiences. The biking is amazing with paved trails going in all directions. Kayak on one of the many rivers or boat on the Manitowish Waters chain of lakes, the location of the cabin is the perfect. End your day with dinner and live music in Manitowish Waters or a quiet dinner on the porch. brThe area also is home to many festivals and weekly flee markets. The Discovery Center is a wonderful resource with more trails, guest speakers and wildlife activities throughout the year.brThe Community Center has a variety of activities and events throughout the summer and fall as well. brDue to the nature of the cabin and rules of the state, this is a 30 day rental only. Also in the lower level, is a 3rd full bathroom. brbrConveniently located in this area is a stack washer and dryer, and adjacent is a tub sink and a location to hang your wet bathing suits. Well, maybe my second favorite. I do love the open concept loft area. It is private, yet socially inviting!brbrRegardless of how you exit the cabin, you'll want to enjoy the freshly stained wraparound deck. Take in the early morning sunrise, right from the deck. Watch the fishermen cast for trophy musky in our peaceful cove. As your appetite increases, pull up a bar stool at one of our custom-made tabletops. Line up the family at our 10 foot handcrafted slab of hardwood. Turn the corner and enjoy a more private, secluded location on the covered portion of the wraparound deck. We added another tabletop slab at this location. Take in the views of multiple species of trees, ground growth, and wildlife, as the area boasts numerous deer, ground critters and yes, an occasional area bear. This is our favorite place to sit and have a good cup of coffee.brbrTake a stroll down to our private dock system on the lake. Want to bring in a boat No problem. We offer plenty of docking to tie up your boats. Want to bring in a jet ski Feel free to raise it on our easy-to-use lift. Want to simply relax on the lake Have a seat on our large wicker couches (Brown Jordan brand) at the end of the dock system on a 144 square foot platform, while the kids jump in the water on our inflatable platform. From here, you’ll see Loons, Merganser’s, and Otters. You’ll be enticed into exploring one of the many islands on this lake. Feel free to use one of the multiple kayaks (4) or paddle boards (2) that we have. We have added a canoe for you to use as well (no extra charge of course!). We have over one dozen coast guard approved life jackets, which we do require when you utilize our water equipment, as we want you to be safe. There are paddle board rentals on the chain, but why pay $50 per board per day, when you have ours for FREE with your reservation with us!brbrWe have exterior deck lighting to aid in your evening activities. Manitowish Lake is one of the pristine ten-lake Manitowish Chain of Lakes. Birchwood is a single unit, open concept studio cabin with one queen size bed and one queen sleeper sofa (). From the great room guests can enjoy a quiet view of the nearby lakefront and the majestic hemlock and birch trees that surround us. The cabin has a fully supplied kitchen, towels and linens provided, bath with shower, outdoor grill, Direct TV, paddle boat and fishing boat with 15 hp motor included. Boat slip is available for your own boat. Swimming and snorkeling off dock. Cabin just 44 ft from the water. Some of the best small mouth bass fishing in North America. Also, all 10 lakes of the Manitowish Chain are Class A musky. Directions: Just 23 miles North of Minocqua on US Highway 51 (I- 39). Turn left (West) onto Powell Rd; in one mile turn left (South) onto Alder Lake Rd; in approximately one mile watch for our sign (Tom and Karen Everson) at 13412. Situated on 36 acres, the property boasts a full service northwoods restaurant and bar. You will experience privacy, seclusion and wildlife (as we have seen deer(albino), eagles, bears, otters, loons, and various other northwoods critters.brbrOur Cabin is situated between Alder lake and Manitowish Lake on the water. We have 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Our cabin is cozy and inviting, welcoming conversation amongst friends. Directly across the driveway is a playground situated in the shadows of towering pines. The restaurant is a short 2 minute walk from our front door. We have a firepit next to our cabin and along the beach is another. Many evenings you will find guests sitting by the campfire listening to the sounds of nature and gazing at the uncountable stars.brbrYou can enjoy world class musky fishing as the chain is Class A muskie waters. Smallmouth bass fishing is spectacular, largemouth, northern, panfish, and walleye are all common. Personal record is 44' muskie, 23' smallmouth, and 18' walleye. brbrYour day can be filled going fishing, water-skiing, boating, hiking, biking, visiting one of the many lakeside restaurants. At night, relaxing at the Lodge while the kids play in the game room watching movies and playing with toys. For winter activities, we are located a couple of hundreds yards off a main snowmobile trail. Cross country skiing is out the front door and downhill skiing is 40 minutes away in the U.P.
