Whether you’re looking for ice cream and saltwater taffy or wine tasing and Penn Cove mussels, you will find it in this charming town. Langley has fabulous restaurants, coffee shops, and a well-stocked grocery store.brbrLike most homes in Langley, we do not have whole house air conditioning. Temperatures are generally cooler on the island and all bedrooms have either ceiling fans and/or floor fans. The east-facing twin bedroom has a window AC unit. There is also a backup generator that automatically turns on in the case of a power outage.brbrThe beach near our home is a classic Pacific Northwest beach with rocks, driftwood, and beautiful wildlife. Depending on the tide, you may need to walk over driftwood, so it's not great for strollers or wagons, though they can be left at the entry point. It may also be challenging for people who have difficulty walking. Beach/water shoes recommended. brbrFiber internet access is available and cell phone reception is good. The large family room TV includes a Roku streaming stick for accessing your own streaming services. I can support remotely and if any solutions require a person on site, someone from the team on Whidbey Island will be available.brbrOn Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Bryan, on our maintenance team, will move garbage cans and sometimes leaf blow. brbrBells Beach is a very quiet neighborhood and a five minute drive to the town of Langley. There are common sightings of eagles, herons, porpoises, and whales. brbrbrAlthough Bells Beach Lookout is not officially classified as ADA-compliant, modifications were made to the home to allow for wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters. Guests can enjoy a stairless entry using the carport parking and 36 wide hallways, entrances, and openings to rooms. brbrIn addition to the driveway, there is parking behind the house in the two-car-covered carport, so guests can enjoy a stairless entry. The carport is flat, has motion detector lights, and is plenty wide enough for a van and another ten feet of room.
