Our custom made casita has been thoughtfully built and designed by us for those looking for that extra glamping comfort. 8 skylights line the roof to make the most of sky watching and stargazing. Our only solar powered unit has AC/heat, outlets, a mini fridge and a kettle. This unit can sleep up to 4 guests with a king bed, a queen bed in the loft, a cozy couch, large dining table and large windows. Adirondack Chairs, hammock swings and a porch swing wrap around the 3 sides of the private deck.brbrThe Skylight Casita is a first of it's kind for us! It gets its name for the 8 skylights that line the roof of this casita. Lay in your king bed to watch the clouds go by or stargaze in the evenings. A queen bed in the loft is available for those not wanting to share a bed or for families of 4. A cozy seating area with a couch and 2 chairs and a large dining table to eat, play board games or do some work. A mini fridge and kettle with teas, hot chocolate and instant coffee are available to you. 2 very large windows overlook the property for amazing views of the La Sal Mountains and mesas. A large private deck wraps around 3 sizes with Adirondack Chairs, hammock swings and a porch swing. brbrThis is our only unit that is solar powered so it has outlets and AC and heating. brBoard games and books are available for some indoor activities. brbrComplimentary coffee/tea delivery service and breakfast is available for purchase. brbrNo private bathroom but the communal areas are the bathhouse (2 full baths, 1 toilet room and 1 shower room), fully equipped kitchen, grilling deck and sauna. You will not find this on any map or weather app. Monticello, UT is the closest town with weather service and sits at 7000 feet above sea level. Moab, UT is the second town worth looking at, but sits at 4000 feet. The glampground sits at 6000 feet. Typically we are 3-5 degrees warmer than Monticello and 6-10 degrees cooler than Moab. brbrWIFI - Strong Wifi is available around the communal spaces. The Pod, Mountain Tent, Mesa Tent and this Skylight Casita typically get good Wifi but the others are too far to reach.brbrSAUNA – Available to our guests for $5.00 a session. You can make an appointment when you arrive. Limited appointments are available. 3 evenings and 2 mornings.brbrWATER - We haul 400 gallons of water at a time so we ask everyone is water smart. Plus, this is a desert where we should be consider anyways. brbrFIRES - The only fires allowed on the glampsite are campfires. No smoking of any kind allowed. However, we do allow smoking in the parking lot or in your vehicle. br*If there is a county fire band, no fires will be allowed. You may reach out to ask if there is one. brbrPETS – No pets allowed. brbrHEATING/COOLING – Air Conditioning and heating is available in this unit.brbrCOMPLEMENTARY COFFEE/TEA DELIVERY – Coffee and tea delivery service every morning free of charge when requested. brbrBREAKFAST, ALCOHOL AND SNACKS – Available for purchase between 9am-7pm daily. brbrLIMITED LIGHTING - To help preserve our night sky, we do not have a lot of lighting around the glampsite. A headlamp or flashlight when first arriving will help find your way. Once here, there is a lantern inside your tent and solar pathway lights. brbrQUIET HOURS - 10:00pm - 6:00am. brbrANIMALS – We have 2 14 year old dogs (Crow and Raven) and free-range chickens. They may come greet you or follow you to your accommodation. brbrWALKING PATH - We have 22 acres and 1/2 of the property is untouched and are surrounded by State Trust Lands and BLM. These lands are welcomed to be explored. brbrTOURS/ACTIVITIES – We are always on the lookout for local activities and tours. Please find our current offerings on our website or on our tour board upon arrival. br TUBES – These are available June-Aug. There are 3 lakes in the Abajo Mountains and 1 large Reservoir in Blanding, all within a 30 min drive. Tubes are available at no cost. br ASTRONOMY TOURS - Twice a month a local astronomy comes to the glamping site with an amazing telescope. You will learn about constellations, planets, dead stars and much more. Paid event. Check our Visitor Guide on our website for more suggestions. brbrStargazing - Bring a telescope if you have one as the night sky is one of the best features of this property! No obstructions so you will have clear views of the brilliant sky. We recommend downloading The SkyView Lite app and The Moon app. This will help you determine a full night of stars or the moon cycle (weather permitting). brThere is usually highway noise but around 11pm, it slows down.brbrTHINGS TO DO ON PROPERTY: Lay in the hammocks, take a sauna, astronomy tour, nature walk, stargaze, play board games, grill.brTHINGS TO DO NEARBY: Visit Arches and Canyonlands National Park, visit the nearby lakes and reservoirs (borrow our tubes), fish, mountain bike (rentals coming soon), scenic drive, hiking, many local tours.brbrWe are Keshia and Erik and we own Glamping Canyonlands. There are numerous rustic buildings on the property, three of which can be rented, or the entire property, and two shared spaces available to all guests. brbrPlease NOTE:******You can rent the entire property for $180 per night plus VRBO fees, or individual cabins as described below at $50-$70 per night plus VRBO fees.
