Everything is new and clean and inviting. The kitchen is large and has plenty of room for cooking. There are stocked small appliances, such as a hand mixer, waffle maker, toaster, and a blender. There are three coffee makers: a drip pot, a single cup for pods, and a French press. There is also a tea kettle. We have some various coffees and teas stocked, or bring your favorite. brbrThe main level has approximately 1800 sq ft, the basement is finished and has approximately 1400 SQ ft. brbrThe yard is fenced, please note, there are some gaps in the fencing where the gates are, so very small dogs should still be supervised at all times. Please remember this is forest country, and there are a variety of wild life abound, especially deer, but you may also see large birds of prey, rabbit, fox, skunk, possum, or even a black bear. Please do not feed the wildlife and maintain your distance. brbrThe hot tub is new and can hold 6 people at a time. brbrWe also have a large fire pit set up for relaxing with friends and family or making s'mores. brbrOur location is privately set, surrounded by trees, yet also centrally located and close to the towns of Hawley and Honesdale. brbrEvery bedroom has a TV with a Roku streaming device. You can easily log in to any of your favorite apps, or watch something from one of the plentiful Roku channels. brbrIf you visit us in the summer, we are just 12 minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack, the 3rd largest motorboating lake in Pennsylvania. We are also just minutes away from the Lackawaxen River and Delaware River where you can go rafting or kayaking. There are also multiple golf courses nearby, including Woodloch Springs, which is just five minutes away. brbrIf you visit us in the winter, we have an indoor wood stove and we have plenty of wood stocked. There is also skiing just 15 minutes away at Ski Big Bear.brbrThe lower level is fully finished and has board games, as well as a basketball game. One of the couches is a pull out mattress if you need some extra sleeping spots.brbrThe whole house is available for use. There are a couple of owner's closets that are locked that are utility areas. There is a fenced yard, with a large deck, fire pit, and hot tub. The garage is locked and is for owner use only. The home is located on over two acres, and set back off the road. The owners live nextdoor on the neighboring 7.8 acre property, so there is a nice privacy buffer, but we are nearby in case you need anything. brbrIf you plan to visit as a couple, we can accommodate for special rates if you only want first floor access. The basement can be locked off. The main level contains 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The finished basement has another bedroom and bathroom, and game area. As a couple you would still have access to the yard with fire pit and hot tub.brbrWe live right next door in the neighboring 7.8 acre property, but we are set back enough to still allow for privacy. Once booked we will send you a contract to sign after you send us pertinent info (cell phone numbers, your address, the names of those who will be entering our home). br2. You will send us a picture of yourself holding your Drivers License w/in48 hrs of booking (you can block out the numbers but make sure we can read the rest) & pay w/your credit card that has the same name as your Drivers License.br3. One pet MIGHT be allowed with a $200 pet fee. Let's discuss first.br4. No one will be invited to the home, even just for dinner. br5. Everyone coming will be on the contract.br6. If you request to bring a dog, we may or may not approve. Tell us about your pet. The well equipped kitchen comfortably allows several cooks in at once w/lots of counter space & a big DR table to very comfortably seat 8.brbrHome is lakefront, on Lake Wallenpaupack in Hawley, PA, about 2 hrs from NYC. Look out the wall of windows to beautiful views of the giant lake. We have drapes if you wish to close them at night. Lake Wallenpaupack (15 mi long) allows powerboats &jet skis, unlike the smaller lakes in PA which only allow non-powerboats. Bring your own boat or rent pontoon boats &speed boats for the day &park them at our dock (there are 3 large cleats & a few bumpers -please bring your own ropes and bumpers). There are public (Mangan) &private launches (Seeleys) very close by. brbrAIR CONDITIONING brAlthough the window air conditioner &ceiling fan in the loft kept the whole house cool if the doors are kept shut, we had CENTRAL AIR installed in the spring of 2022! We have vents throughout the first floor. We kept the window air conditioner in the loft as a backup & left fans in each room as well for your comfort.brbrFURNITURE brA new couch & love seat arrived in April 2022 along w/an end table w/Boo Boo the bear holding onto the end table. We added the Winnie the bear end table in 2023.brbrThe whole back of the house is windows so the view of the lake is great! brOn the deck there are lake views in front and on the side of the house. Enjoy a game night on the DR table or outside on the deck or enjoy the fire pit down near the water.brbrEasy, gentle & short /path to the patio w/firepit (new 2025), lake & dock. We supply several chairs for your use on the patio & dock.brbrRelax and/or dine on the very large deck w/a new 64 inch cast iron square table w/seating for 8. Order in or cook on the Weber grill (August 2020). A picnic table for your use is also included as are two lounge chairs. brbrBring your streaming apps id/pw. We have a 50 inch ROKU TV in the family room for you to enjoy in the evening if you desire w/lots of apps loaded for you to use w/your own id/pw. (Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, Youtube, etc.). We also supply some adult & kid board games, puzzles & books for your enjoyment. brbrFIRST FLOOR brNice entryway to leave your shoes, jackets, etc.brbrGood size kitchen w/a cabinet & a pantry for your food. The family room has an extra small room next to it. Relax in the recliner or work on your laptop at the desk facing the lake.brbrBedrooms on first floor: br1. Queen bed, 2 small chest of drawers for your clothes. Hangers & hooks behind the door. br2. Bedroom w/a full size bed, dresser & closet. brbrBetween the 2 bedrooms is a Full bath w/tub.brbrSECOND FLOORbrQueen bedroom w/a large linen closet w/extra blankets, pillows, sheets, etc. & empty drawers for your clothes. brbrFull bath w/a shower brbrVery Large Loft w/2 trundles. You can make 2 king size beds, one from each trundle. Two small dressers for your clothes. brbrBasement w/washer & dryer & laundry detergent.brFoosball tablebrbrOutside is a hammock to relax & enjoy during the summer time. Feel free to use the tubes & noodles that we leave. You may wish to bring arm floaties & life jackets for young children or those that can't swim. brbrWe will supply 2 kayaks if you desire in season (May 15 -Oct 30 - you must ask ahead of time. Although we have a few life vests, you need to bring your own to be sure they fit properly. brbrThere is a firepit on the patio. Bring your own wood/kindling, matches. In the winter, cozy on up to the propane fireplace. Turn on w/a press of a button. It gives off a good amount of heat &has a nice ambiance.brbrWe put out one set of bed linens on each bed. Make the beds you need but no need to wash them at the end of your stay! Leave the bed unmade & we will take them off & wash them! Leave the folded sheets on the beds you didn't use. There are extra sheets & blankets & pillows if you need them in the linen closet in the upstairs bedroom. brbrSorry but we do not supply any bath or lake or hand towels (except for the kitchen).brbrLake Wallenpaupack is owned by Brookfield renewable, a hydroelectric plant powered by the water. The level of the lake varies. In June the water level & the beginning of the gangway & dock usually start very close to the bottom of the stairs. As the water level goes up or down, the dock gets moved out away from the property or moved closer to the property by our dock maintenance person. brbrThe water level changes, thus the location of the dock changes. brWe recommend water shoes especially for kids. The bottom of the lake is made of slate.brbrOur docks will be put in by no later than May 1 and removed by about Oct 31. (due to the drawdown, this year they will be removed by about Oct 17/18). Except for the drawdown years, if you wish to rent before May 1 or after Oct 31 & would need/want the dock, please reach out. It may be possible to get the dock in earlier or leave in later than Oct 31.br-----------------------------------------------------------------brThis is a family oriented area. No parties, no events! Do not have more people over, even just for a day visit - they must be on the contract & total number of people must be 8 or less per our HOA, the town & our septic. This is a no tolerance policy. You will be evicted w/no refunds including your security if the neighbors report excessive noise or we find out there are more than 8. THIS PROPERTY HAS EXTERNAL CAMERAS FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR PROPERTY. No street parking. A maximum of 4 cars (or one trailer with car attached & 2 other cars) are allowed on the property. brbrGarbage is not allowed to be stored outside or it will attract bears nor should it be stored in any room of the house so it does not attract bugs. It needs to be disposed of in a dumpster just down the road a bit.brbrCancellation policy: Please get trip insurance in case you or anyone in your party gets ill (or for any other reason) & cannot come. Once we remove your dates from being able to be booked by other parties, we will only refund your money if we can re-rent with no loss to us.brbrSome requirements to rent our home: br1. Upon the large deck is a beutiful 5-Person Hot Tub ready for all to relax in and enjoy. There is a chinnea right outside the back perfect for roasting marshmallows on the california deck. You`ll find a picnic table as well as a nice seating area. Enjoy the light breeze from the the lake under the Edison lights glazing overhead. After a long day at the public beach just 700` away wash off in the amazing outdoor shower. On the back deck is a newer 2-burger gas grill with provided propane. There is a Game shed with Darts, Foosball, and other games for the group (Work in progress). We also supply 3 Kayaks if you are interested in driving them to the public launch to drop them in, but you must transport. To the right of the housethe driveway is big enough for you to bring a boat on a trailer along with a 2nd vehicle in the secondary driveway next to the woods (Or 3 total vehicle).brbrThis place is pet friendly so your four legged friends won`t have to be left behind. Kids will love hanging out inside and outside of the beach inspired bungalow. brbrPlanning on bringing your boat The driveway can accomadate one and you can launch it 2,000 feet away at Wilsonville Recreation & Campground ($10) or the public launch 2 miles away (Free). Wilsonville also offers nightly boat slips to be rented if available (Pricing varies) and picknicking from 8am till dusk for $2.brbrWe do not provide firewood, but there are plenty of local areas that stock it. We also have a property less than 2 miles away that has a self-service box to give you a better bang for the buck than the other stores (Cash or electronic payment).brbr*Please note there is a $75 one-time dog fee which allows you to bring up to 2 dogs on the property during your trip. We are dog lovers but ask that you keep your furry friends off the furniture and clean up after them for the sake of other renters. Waste bags provided from dispenser in backyard.
