The back yard/entry lawn is flat with room for lawn games while the side/front lawn slopes gently to the river. brbrThis beautiful retreat is a 3600 sq ft log cabin with front yard river access located approximately 5 miles from the world famous Sunriver Resort thus is a welcome escape with easy access to groceries, gas, restaurants, shopping and other resort amenities such as golf and the SHARC indoor water park (day passes available). Bend is approximately 25 minutes away and Mt Bachelor is 30 minutes as well as access to trails and all season adventures throughout Central Oregon and the Cascade Mountains.brbrThe whole house is available for use during your stay. Deschutes Forest Lodge - A beautiful Estate in the Woods - but still close to downtown Bend!brbrEntering the grounds, the house is set far back from the road. There is a 2 car garage, with an EV Charger, and plenty of off street parking in the driveway. Entering the house you will find a large open main level. The Great Room features a glass garage door that opens up for indoor outdoor living, and in winter provides a wonderful view, as well as letting in lots of natural light. There is a large Smart TV in the Great Room, which includes both streaming opportunities and local channels through cable. There is also a half bath off the Great Room. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with all manner of pots, pans, baking pans, cutting boards, etc... There is a pantry with an extra refrigerator/freezer, and also holds extra pots and pans and serving items, as well as a plethora of small kitchen appliances. Additionally there is a large refrigerator and a large freezer, as well as a Viking Range with 6 burners in the kitchen. And plenty of seating - in the Great Room, and in the kitchen at the island or the large Dining Table. There is also a designated office work space, with a printer and a desktop for guest use. The Primary Suite is also on this level, for those who may be challenged by stairs. This area features a King Bedroom with a desk area and a Smart TV, a gas fireplace, a large walk in closet and a large master bath, with a tub and walk in shower and two vanities (the walk in shower has a bench seat as well). Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, 2 King size, 1 Queen and a Bunk room. Each set of rooms shares a bath and shower combo. Each room has it's own mini walk in closet. Down the hall you will find a large game room, with Ping Pong and Foosball, a game table and a TV, and a half bath. This room also has a bar area, with a mini fridge. Also upstairs is a Laundry Room with a Washer and Dryer. In the back yard there is a large patio area with a fire pit and a hot tub, along with a BBQ, a horse shoe pit and many yard games and lots of seating, when seasonal weather permits. There is a large outdoor dining table under a covered porch area, and a large grassy area for the games.brbrWeddings and large events are not allowed at this home - the home is in a quiet community - so if you are looking for a party pad - this is probably not the house for you.

It is available approximately June to September when the pipes won't freeze! Outdoor shower is next to the sauna with a very petite hot water heater...so best to plan for a cool to warm rinse in the backyard. You'll love an anytime soak in the saltwater hot tub, whether it be a warm up for the day or a relaxing soak after a long, fun day in Bend. We do ask you to be whisper quiet in the hot tub after 10pm.brbrPARKINGbrFeel free to park in the large paver driveway, with ample room for 2 vehicles.
