Pigeon Lake is connected to Buckhorn Lake, Chemong Lake, Big Bald and Little Bald Lake without passing through the lock system. There are other public beaches in the area, including the land-locked Sandy Lake, also known as Lake of Spirits, due to the Caribbean colour of the water. The property has a rowboat for use. However, there is another marina steps from this location for launching and fuel. It is a fishermans paradise with ample opportunity to catch large and small bass, walleye, muskie, yellow perch, bullhead, sucker, carp and Northern pike.
