The attached bathroom is private with an on demand hot water system, so you will never run out of hot water. The kitchenette is in the laundry room. Laundry room is shared for extended stays. brbrThe 42 Roku TV has streaming channels with Netflix provided. There is a DVD player with a variety of movies available. A small patio is outside the sliding glass door. The yard is available for you with a fire pit and firewood. All doors in the main room are equipped with a lock. The ceiling is tongue and groove boards with insulation. There is a new quiet ceiling fan. I try to be quiet, but you may hear some footsteps above. brbrOur neighbors have 2 friendly dogs who come to visit guests, especially if they are the four legged type. The neighbors also have free range chickens who like to scrounge around my year. Be sure your pets are secured. We don't want any dead chickens. brbrWe are less than a 10-minute drive to Ohio University & downtown Athens. Our home sits at the end of a dead-end street in a peaceful wooded setting. This is a re-modeled 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath home located seconds outside of town but down a private gravel road. The house fronts the highway but it is back behind the trees. A SUV all wheel drive car is best because our house is down a 1/4 mile private gravel drive. We do not plow snow because of the gravel so if a storm is coming. NO HASSLE self check in with easy keypad electronic lock, NO keys to lose! This is a completely, lovingly re-modeled 80 year old house in the woods, down a private gravel lane. The entire house is yours including the garage without a door. We have a full kitchen, 1.5 baths and 2 bedrooms, each having a queen bed. The TV is a ROKU so bring your passwords. We also have a DVD player and a library of DVD's for your use. There is a grass side yard and woods to hike in. Entire house and surrounding 7 acres of woods and brush. My family and I live in Athens so if you need something, we are here. Otherwise you will not see us except to cut lawn and maybe pick up trash if you are staying a week or longer.

The Ohio University Convocation Center is hiking distance, as is the football stadium, Ohio University and downtown Athens. FREE WIFI and FREE parking for up to 4 cars. McDonalds, and other fast food is very close by, as is a hardware store. The house is on the Athens transit route and we have Uber and Lyft. The house is a historic Sears kit house built in 1939 and recently extensively remodeled. We have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer for for your use only. Also, we have free wireless, cable and a flat screen tv in the living room. There are some games, dvds and books in the living room. If you start a book and like it, feel free to take it. The entire house is is yours except for the basement which is reserved for heat/air and utilities management. Check out our front porch! A firehouse is several doors down for your protection. Self serve car wash next door. Local family owned hardware store is half a block away. On easy bus route for transportation or call a locally owned cab. Great location! We own the car wash so you can park next to the house on either side and not risk being towed. Several small cab companies will wisk you to your destination cheaply and the house is located on the transit bus route. Walking is possible but uptown is a hike. I used to hike it when I went to college here but it may not be for you. Close to Ohio University and inside the city limits of Athens, Ohio. We are 1 of only 4 legal short term rental houses in Athens. Our fully legal status means that we are safety inspected by the city of Athens Code Office. They check location and viability of fire and carbon monoxide detectors, GFI wiring in bathrooms and kitchen, and fire extinguisher.
