Hawk Ridge Retreat - Athens County Getaway

What a beautiful and serene getaway! We truly enjoyed our stay. This guest house was very comfortable and the view from the large glass windows in the living room/kitchen space was gorgeous. We made good use of the luxurious hot tub in the evenings and experienced a really relaxing weekend. We liked the house so much that we hung out in it for most of our visit to the Athens area!

We had the most relaxing time at hawk ridge retreat. Information provided by the host was so clear and considerate. The home is spotless, comfortable and open. Everything just felt so… easy! We would absolutely return!

Hawk Ridge Retreat was the perfect weekend getaway. The home is a beautiful mix of rustic craftsmanship and modern amenities — like a knotty pine ceiling; hardwood floors & trim; spacious, cozy bedrooms; huge stone tile bathroom with a steaming hot shower; a kitchen you want to cook in (newer stove/fridge, plenty of counter space); and plenty of fluffy towels for the hot tub. We watched leaves float across the sky from the hot tub, walked around Athens, binge watched a show on Netflix, and slept like logs. It was a perfect place to relax on a rainy-snowy weekend in November.

Peaceful, spacious gem tucked in the woods outside of Athens. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, easy to get to and had everything we needed. We loved our time here. We will be back.

This was our second stay at Hawk Ridge. It's a great two bedroom, two bath, fully equipped kitchen place to stay that is quiet and secluded.

We loved our time at Hawk Retreat. It was very clean and decorated with charm. We felt secluded, but close enough to Athens that it was convenient to head into town for food and fun. We’ll be back!

Hawk’s Ridge is a wonderful place! Stayed here for our daughter’s graduation from OU. Close enough to be a part of everything in Athens and far enough away to feel like you’re away from it all. Beautiful home and surrounds - the hot tub is ideal at the end of long day hiking. Our host was very responsive to our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for a great family occasion. Highly recommended

My husband, son, fiancée and myself came to Athens for the big football game. A chance to see the Bobcats beat Ball State and make the Mac tournament. My son and I both are OU Alumni and love every chance we get to visit. This get away was over Thanksgiving and we were able to stay in this beautiful home and celebrate.

Enjoyed a great OU family weekend! Hawk Ridge Retreat was the perfect location and provided a nice place to visit with our daughter and a few of her friends while also doing all the fun on campus activities. Thank you for a great stay!

My husband and I stayed for the weekend to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. We were immediately impressed by this place. Very beautiful and clean. Will definitely be back.

We’ve stayed many times and will return.

We’ve been coming here for several years, and this was another all-5s experience for us. We didn’t use the hot tub or the TV much this time, though both looked nice. Very clean, very comfortable and very communicative. We visited the Saturday morning farmers market and uptown music/arts festival, hiked the bike path and up to Radar Hill, shopped uptown and dined at JackieO’s & Little Fish Looking forward to getting back, and will look to Hawk Ridge Retreat first.

We absolutely loved our stay! We came in for our daughter's college orientation. The place was close to Athens - very easy drive to campus. The home was clean, decorated very nicely, comfortable, and well stocked with towels, coffee, etc. We will definitely stay here again!

Place was beautiful and peaceful, we enjoyed the surrounding woods and seeing deer near by. The only complaint is that there wasnt a very good description of the long hill driveway with gravel, and that’s only because we had motorcycles. But we managed and really enjoyed ourselves, would go back for sure:)
