Stayed Oct 15, 2025It is quite a way away from town, but if the park is your biggest attraction then it’s not bad. Very clean, bed was comfortable. Rooms were comfortable, open concept worked well. Did get to hear coyotes and saw deer several times in the yard. Upstairs renter had a heavy foot, heard every move he made but he wasn’t there the whole time we were. Bring or buy before you get there everything you would want to cook. There are plates, pans and utensils. Not even salt and pepper. If I was going to be a hermit and wanted to have a quiet place to relax this could be perfect, if upstairs wasn’t rented.

Stayed Apr 11, 2025My husband and I are OU alumni. We came to Athens to visit my brother-in-law in his senior year. I always loved spending time at Strouds when I was in school and it was so fun to stay at this oasis right off the hiking trails. Wish we would’ve had more time to explore the outdoors, but we were mostly on campus, which was an easy and beautiful drive! We will definitely be back to this home next time we visit. It was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend.

Stayed Sep 23, 2022We enjoyed our private getaway on 14 acres in Athens! Recently renovated with everything needed for a weekend. The owner was conscious of responding immediately if needed. We would definitely stay here in the future!
