This 18x32 hand-hewn log cabin was dismantled and moved from a neighboring farmstead to the Green Gate property in 2016. We added an upper floor, super-insulated shell and a rustic exterior of weathered, circle-sawn planking and rusty metal roofing. The mix of log construction, custom metalwork, and hand-crafted everything create a truly breathtaking architectural experience.

Stayed Oct 11, 2021The Mesabi Trail is very near and the landscape was splashed in autumn color. It was quiet, exceptionally clean and a place to appreciate if you have any sense of style in architecture. What’s not to love about it as we pinch ourselves.
