Great for a quick getaway or extended stay at the beach.brbrThe Waterview from the porch is limited however the beach is just at the end of our building and just steps away! I'm towards the back of the building on the 1st floor so the view is limited to one side of the porch and the walk is short to go right out on the beach! Our beach is where the Savannah River and Atlantic meet so at our Beach so the waves are calm. This is one of the most desirable locations on the island as it's a gentle and peaceful waves. It's almost guaranteed that you will see dolphins playing and the large cargo ships coming in here! Lots of bird species and wildlife if you love nature walks too!brbrIf you're looking for rough and large waves, it's a quick bike ride or cab ride to other locations like the North Beach or the beach by the Pier off Tybrisa or 14th Street.brbrRegardless of where you end up booking on Tybee, before booking please look up local events/parades, road work, possible future storms, weather and tides. Traffic can be backed up due to major events or an accident on the island, or changes in weather like rain lead to a lot of people leaving the beach all at once, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and know what's going on! If you decide to go into Savannah for the day, plan ahead for your return at night. It is fully recommended to do this research in advance and to monitor radar on your stay. Tybee is a super fun place and our Island loves to have a good time. We often have fireworks for major holidays also which are well attended. During a Full Moon, especially on a Super Moon, a high tide or even a King Tide can happen which is when the tides are even higher than normal. While very rare, it is possible, water can also cross over the main road US Hwy 80 coming onto and leaving the Island so please plan ahead for that. The city and county may close roads temporarily as it isn't safe to drive through water so you may need to plan accordingly to arrive early or later to the Island.brbrPlease note that on the 7th day of your booking, you have the option to pay for a second cleaning to have fresh linens on the bed and new towels. The home features three bedrooms, an additional sleeping nook, a pullout couch, three full baths, a game/rec area, an optional heated pool and spa (see below for details), a 6' fenced in yard and pool area for privacy, 2 large balconies (one screened in and one private located off the master suite), and so much more. brbr**The pool/spa can be heated for an additional $50/night.
