Gravel roads can get challenging with a lot of rain or snow if you are not use to them so please be cautious. They really do change depending on the weather. We do not recommend a low riding vehicle. If you are not use to driving on mountain roads, we would highly recommend a large SUV or 4-wheel drive vehicles but cars have made it to the cabin without a problem. Please take into consideration weather conditions when deciding on a vehicle to take. The gravel roads on the way to the cabin are graded to smooth them out often by the community but with lots of the rain the gravel can wash away a bit causing the gravel roads to be very bumpy in some areas, when the roads get like that it’s best to put your car in sport mode if you do not have 4 wheel drive and drive quicker through the bumps so that you can ride over the bumps and not get stuck. Please use caution, the roads are narrow in some areas and cars can be coming in the opposite direction. I highly recommend driving to the cabin while there is still some daylight out so you can see the roads and surroundings a bit better until you know your way around.
