Ned's family lived here in the winter, and spent the summer in Ithaca, NY, where his father was the Golf Coach at Cornell University for over 40 years. Ned followed in his footsteps as a PGA Teaching Professional for over 25 years. He was teaching at the Clearwater Golf Club located in Clearwater, Florida when Myrtle, in Florida on holiday from Germany, met him in 1998. Myrtle and Ned, of course, had their wedding right in front of beautiful Sandy Shores!brbrLike Ned, Myrtle fell in love with this beautiful property and its rich family history. Our home is a labor of love! We fully updated the entire property, the most recent renovation occurring in 2018, with quality finishes and modern stainless steel appliances. Brand-new, beautiful floors throughout the home including cozy carpet in the bedrooms. Our home has a very easy, open floor plan to include the fully stocked kitchen, dining room, and relaxing living room which is perfect for family vacations. The master bedroom, which has a full bath attached, includes a queen bed. The tranquil guest room also has a queen bed and a shared full bathroom with a tub is directly across from the bedroom. The 3rd bedroom is equipped with a home office setup and also has fold down double futon. The carport area, which is attached to the open concept dining/kitchen/living area, has been converted into a covered relaxing outdoor space with two hammock chairs and a full outdoor dining set where meals are thoroughly enjoyed. A deck connects to carport and wraps around home to the backyard where you will find a large deck area equipped with patio furniture and umbrella. The fully fenced in yard contains a large grass area (perfect for our furry friends) as well and a hammock for relaxing with a book. Although it's easy to stay put and enjoy the house, just steps from the house you will find the beautiful beach of Indian Rocks Beach. Hardly ever crowded, take as much or as little space as you need. Our home is stocked with all that you will need to enjoy the beach including beach chairs, beach towels and blanket, rafts, bocce ball, snorkeling sets, a cooler, beach cart, and beach toys. Just around the corner within walking distance, you will find local bars, restaurants and shopping. Also within walking distance is ice cream and local convenience store that carries everything you need. Just 3,600 residents, locally owned spots rated among the best in Florida, and a pace that actually lets you decompress. The provided 6-passenger electric golf cart gets you to the beach in about 2 minutes, with designated cart parking right on the sand.brbrTHE SPACEbrThe layout works for the way families actually vacation. You enter on the main level with the kitchen, living room, dining area, and a full bathroom. Three steps down puts you on the ground level with a king bedroom (glass doors opening to the pool and water), the bunk room, another full bath, and laundry. A few steps up takes you to two more king bedrooms, a full bathroom, an outdoor balcony, and the spiral staircase to the rooftop deck. It's 2,966 square feet across three levels with a flow that keeps everyone together when you want to be, with room to break away when you don't.brbrKITCHEN & DININGbrThis kitchen was set up by owners who actually cook here with their own family. Indian Rocks Beach is a golf-cart- friendly town, so you can ride to the beach (about 1,000 yards from the front door), park in a designated beachfront cart spot, and skip the traffic and parking hassle entirely. We provide beach chairs, towels, and toys. After the beach, hop back on the cart and cruise to dinner at one of the local spots.brbrBOATING & WATER ACCESSbrBring your own boat or rent locally. The refurbished dock has large cleats and easy on/off access. From the backyard, you can head out onto Tampa Bay and reach restaurants, islands, and cities with marinas. Dunedin is about a 20-minute boat ride. Or grab the kayaks and explore the Intracoastal at your own pace.brbrAbsolutely beautiful property with every amenity you could ask for.
