A large deck houses the propane BBQ and outdoor seating for everyone. On the back of the house, facing a small creek, is a smaller deck with café seating for your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine and a book. brbrA custom made spiral staircase allows guest to travel between the upper and middle levels without stepping outside, but there are exterior stairs as well and a second large deck on the middle level with additional outdoor seating. The remaining four bedrooms, full bathroom and laundry room are on the middle level. The bathroom is off the hallway so there's no need to cut through a bedroom. There's plenty of room to spread out in the house or outside!brbrA few words about cooking at Racer Five - it's an amazing experience! And building this gourmet kitchen was a labor of love. There are new stainless steel appliances and a professional grade Thermador range with 8 burners, double oven and barbecue/griddle on top. This well-appointed house offers three queen size beds and a couch with high quality bedding. There are two bathrooms with soft fluffy towels for every guest as well as beach towels. An when warm enough (late spring, summer and early fall) tons of water fun from your own private riverfront access.brbrEARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT brEarly check-in and/or late check-out may be available depending on my cleaner's schedule. If available, I generally charge a fee equal to about 5% of your nightly rate per hour (basically 1/20 of your nightly rate) with a minimum of $25. Please let me know asap if you are requesting early check-in or late check-out so I can check with the cleaners. I charge this fee because I usually pay the cleaners more for the tight cleaning window and because it is extra work for me to coordinate it with cleaners.brbrPETS:brPet fee is $35 per night per pet and $200 per week per pet. You are required to notify me if you are bringing a pet(s) and/or select the pet option when booking to have the fee added automatically. (I can adjust the fee before or after booking for week+ rentals.)brbrCLEANING FEE:brMy cleaning fee includes the maintenance of the hot tub, which is serviced frequently and drained/cleaned/refilled regularly. The cleaning fee also includes the premium amount paid to the cleaners to compensate for the irregular schedule and to cover costs associated with typical vacation rental use.brbrRIVER LEVELS: Summer dams are installed from mid-June to mid-Sept. When the dams are in, the river level rises and covers the grey rocky beach seen in some of our photos. During the summer dams, we have a gangway down to our floating dock. In FALL, WINTER and SPRING, there is a huge grey rocky beach which is lovely for a walk along the river and the river has a slight current. Kayaking and boating is available usually March through November, depending on rainy season. We bring our kayaks and paddleboards up to store during the winter rainy season and take them back down in March usually.
