This room is set up perfect for the fisherman/travelers just looking for a quiet place to get a few zzzzz’s between chasing fat rainbows......and brownies, brookies, goldies, cutts, etc. This one room man cave is conveniently located seconds from Norfork Rivers confluence w the White River, a hot spot for bank fisherman at all skill levels. The city of Norfork also offers 2 restaurants for breakfast & lunch, a liquor store that carries bait & tackle as well as your favorite adult beverages and is open 7 days a week, a brewery, fly shop, boat docks with boat rentals, and a grocery store. There are 2 fabulous dinner restaurants within minutes of the cabin, one overlooks the white river while the other overlooks the beautiful Norfork Lake. Soooooo what are you waiting for ! ! !

This is a wonderful place to stay year round. We have many guests that come to fish, but also many guests that come just to relax. This cabin will sleep eight people pretty easy if you are a family. If you are gonna sleep eight men you probably want to be very good friends . There are 3 queen beds and two couches that convert to queen beds. Great place to enjoy a wonderful outdoor fire while someone is grilling. Tons of activities and things to do around this area whether you like to fish or not. If you have kayaks we can drop you and pick you up in this area. We have two different drop spots we commonly use that are pretty close. The hot tub is great anytime of year. It is listed as an 8 man tub but I'm a pretty big guy and I really enjoy it with about 4-5 adults. Any more than that you may not have much water left.brWe have three properties located on our piece of nature, all backing up to the woods. Our two rental cabins both have privacy fenced back decks.brbrThe trout fishing at The Escape at Tall Pines is some of the best in America. And we have the records to prove it! The former All Tackle World Record brown trout was caught 15 minutes away. This brown trout, which weighed 32 pounds, is still the 2nd largest brown ever caught anywhere in the world. The 3rd largest brown ever caught was also caught 15 minutes from The Escape. There have been many other line class record fish caught in this area. But big fish are not all we have. Certain times of year it is normal to catch from 30 to 60 trout in a day's fishing here.brbrWhen you fish the White or Norfork rivers you'll also enjoy some spectacular Ozark Mountain scenery. The water is a clear emerald green. Bluffs rise some 150 to 200 feet above the water. Meadows, wildlife, water fowl and other birds, and wildflowers are common sites along the river banks. You can rent a boat in the towns of Norfork or Calico Rock which are 10 minutes or 17 minutes respectively from The Escape, or you can go boat fishing with a guide who will provide the boat and all tackle. You can buy your fishing licenses and trout stamps in Norfork or easily on the AGFC website. Booking fishing trips with local guides is pretty easy. If you schedule early you can get a guide from around here that will get you on the water and back here with no driving on your part. It is a little less than 1/2 mile to the boat launch but they will deliver you and pick you up.brbrAbout 20 minutes from The Escape is Norfork Lake, which is famous for large striped bass. You can also catch walleye, largemouth, smallmouth, catfish, and bream in Norfork. Rent a boat at one of the marinas, or go out with a guide who will provide the boat and all tackle.brbrDebra Racheter and her daughter built this two bedroom two bath 1,350 square foot lodge one log at a time, just like they did the cabin. Every log was placed with our guest's comfort in mind! Like our cabin, the lodge is made of solid aromatic native red cedar which smells wonderful. A propane grill (on deck in the shade) waits for the chance to BBQ your favorite steak. Outdoor deck lights make late night BBQ convenient. Enjoy outside dinners on our old-fashioned picnic tables. Your 8-person hot tub under the stars! A 6-foot high privacy fence encloses the back deck area. The double doors enter into the master bedroom suite. We also have a 2 bedroom cabin and a barn located on the property but other than that it is just Ozark forest. Two cabins for larger or multi family visits to White river or Lake Norfork.

This is a wonderful place to stay year round. We have many guests that come to fish, but also many guests that come just to relax. These two wonderful cabins are the perfect home base for your trip to Norfork. Normally we rent these two cabins separately, but have found that they are perfect for larger or multi family visits. This really allows for a little more space and sanity with a larger group but still keeps everyone close. brbrThe lodge has a master bedroom with a queen bed and another larger bedroom with two queen beds. There are two queen sofa beds in the living room for additional sleeping. You will love the large kitchen with all you need to prepare full meals and seating for ten. brbrThe cabin has a bedroom downstairs with a king bed for a wonderful nights sleep and a loft bedroom upstairs with a queen bed overlooking the living area. It also has a full functioning kitchen with seating for six at the table. Also, everything you need for cooking full meals. brbrBoth cabins have all the linens, towels, plates, glasses, and silverware you need for up to 14 people. Both cabins also have expansive decks with privacy fenced back decks with their own hot tubs to unwind and relax after whatever adventure you've gotten into around here. You will find full sized washer and dryers in both as well as dishwashers, gas ranges and full sized refrigerators.brEvery log was placed with our guest's comfort in mind! Like our cabin, the lodge is made of solid aromatic native red cedar which smells wonderful. A propane grill waits for the chance to cook your favorite steak. Outdoor deck lights make late night BBQ convenient. Enjoy outside dinners on our old-fashioned picnic tables. Great place to enjoy a wonderful outdoor fire while someone is grilling. brbrIf cooking is not your thing, eat at one of our many amazing restaurants. 5 star dining is available within 1 mile of your front door. You will not be disappointed. Several places to eat within 15-20 minutes from here and a craft brewery with a saloon to boot. Pizza, prime rib, fajitas, or pork shank osso bucco with lobster tails...we got it all around here.brbrIf you have come to fish, the trout fishing at The Escape at Tall Pines is some of the best in America and we have the records to prove it. In 2025, I caught two brown trout in one day from the boat ramp that measured 24 inches in one day.brbrWhen you fish the White or Norfork rivers you'll also enjoy some spectacular Ozark Mountain scenery. If you are not comfortable navigating a boat on the river you can get a guide who can provide the boat and all the tackle. Booking fishing or exploration trips with local guides is pretty easy. If you schedule early you can get a guide from around here that will get you on the water and back here with no driving on your part. It is less than 1/2 mile to the boat launch, but they will pick you up and deliver you back home. Also, you can request a shore lunch that you will be talking about until your next visit. Your guide will pull you up on the bank and cook the fish you just caught along with fried potatoes and other goodies and I happen to know Steve Hudgens has some of the best banana pudding around.brbrAbout 20 minutes from The Escape is Norfork Lake, which is famous for large striped bass. You can also catch walleye, largemouth, smallmouth, catfish, bream, and crappie. You can rent boats or barges at one of the local marinas or go out with a guide that will provide the boat and all the tackle. brbrIf fishing is not your bag, we have many sights and attractions not a far drive from here. There are many marked hiking and mountain biking trails close to the cabin. Nearby Mtn. View boasts many craft shows, live music, and flea markets many times of the year as well as Blanchard Springs caverns, Mirror lake, the Dulcimer Shoppe, and Loco Ropes adventure ziplining. Calico Rock is known for The Peppersauce Ghost Town and its revitalized Main street with museum and Old Printing Press café. If you are into antique shops there are many in Mountain Home (25 minutes away) and the historical town of Hardy (about 50 minutes away), which is where I go when I am looking for something in particular. I'm gonna say you can always find it in Hardy.brIf you are into kayaking, you can rent kayaks or canoes in Norfork with shuttle service provided. In the hottest part of the summer, kayaking on the White river will amaze you. The water will keep you cool and is awesome for a swim. If you bring your own kayaks for your stay here, I will drop you and pick you up.brbrWhether you decide to relax at the cabin all day or have the Arkansas adventure of a lifetime, just know you can top it off with your favorite beverage in the relaxing, clean hot tub on the back decks.brbrWe are pet friendly for house trained doggy guests!! We only allow smaller dogs up to about twenty pounds, crating is required if left alone. Pet fee is requiredbrbrConsider staying at a Family owned property instead of a Seen One Seen Them all franchise!!!brI do all of the cleaning and am on site pretty much all of the time. brbrOur hot tubs are drained, cleaned and refilled after each guest.brbrI just listed my property this way. One of the perks about this cabin is you will also be only 15 miles away from the beautiful Norfork Lake. brbrCabin 1 has everything you need to have a relaxing get away. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and utensils for all your cooking needs. You will be able to enjoy our covered front and back decks with all the sights and sounds of nature. So, when you are here make sure to shut off the electronics and let reality disappear for a while. There is a private walkway right in the cabins backyard that leads you to one of the greatest fishing holes around.
