As you enter the fully fenced private yard, you will enjoy the Adirondack chairs with cushions, a tall dining table with barstools, an outdoor kitchen with sink, microwave and fridge, a small grill and two comfy chairs. As you enter into the space from one of two doors (up 3 stairs), the kitchen is to the right and up 2 additional stairs. It has a countertop bar with two chairs for dining, two large counters for prep, oven, stove top, microwave and full residential refrigerator, The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to prepare a gourmet meal. The sitting area features a twin recliner couch, as well as 2 additional couches. The electric fireplace is great in the winter time for stretching out on the couch and watching tv. You can also see the tv from the kitchen so the cook doesn't feel away from the action. The bedroom features a king sized bed, plenty of storage and a tv, the bathroom is right out the hallway with a toilet, sink, shower and storage. Towels and toilet paper are provided as well as soap and shampoo. Our weekend getaway is equipped with all the essentials like AC and heating, ceiling fan and Wifi. We live in the home next door but both residences are separate and private and you will only hear from us if you are in need of something, we value your privacy as well as ours. Private parking for your car is just outside the gate to your yard and we have umbrellas in the event of rain showers. Guests can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, knowing that everything they need is right at their fingertips. We also provide an arrival snack basket and beverages to welcome you. About this space:brbrThe Gage/Murphy Mansion is a crown jewel from the early days of Prescott and located just 2 blocks away from Courthouse Square and Whiskey Row. Originally constructed in 1895 as the family home of business tycoon E.B. Gage, and later railroad tycoon Frank M. Murphy, this restored monument of local history has been just steps away from the heart of Prescott for over 125 years. brbrbrThe space:brbrThe entire home is 7274 sq ft with a total of 10 units spread out amongst 3 floors and a basement, each unique to one another in size, layout, and design – come back and stay at them all for a different experience each time! You will not find another gem like this in all of Prescott. brbrUnit 3 - “The Tranquility Suite” is upstairs on the 2nd level and is approx. 550 sq ft with 1 bed/1 bath. The space has 1 large bedroom with a queen size bed and 32” TV, a living room with a 42” TV, a bathroom with a stand-up shower and a large cast iron tub, a washer/dryer in unit (supplies not provided), and a full kitchen for your use and enjoyment. It has a private balcony with 2 chairs, and lovely natural lighting throughout - a great place to relax and read a book. brbrbrGuest access:brbrThe building itself has two main entrances. One is through the front door of the home which can be accessed from the front porch on the north side of the house that faces Gurley St. The other is located through the Mansion’s side door on the West side of the building, which you can see from S Alarcon St. The side door is closer to the parking, but the main entrance is a bit more “grand” – feel free to use either.brbrUnit 3’s entrance is best accessed through the Mansion’s side door on the West side of the building. Enter the building through there, walk up the stairs to the 2nd level, and the door to “The Tranquility Suite” will be to the right. brbrbrOther things to note:brbrPlease respect and take care of the home during your stay. Much of it is original and cannot be replaced. brbrAs much of it is original please expect some creaking floors and other noises and sights that come with a home that’s well over 100 years old. We think it adds to the appeal! But not everyone may think the same way so, just a heads up .brbrParking is first come first serve and is limited to 1 vehicle per unit. There is an upper level parking lot accessed via the private road immediately to the south of the building, and a smaller lower level parking lot on the same level as the building. Street parking is also available. brbrThe location is amazing - just 2 short blocks from the square! However, like any other hotels or stays that are near a city center there may be some noise (mostly passing traffic) to deal with. The south side and lower floor rooms (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 2B) are quieter. And the ones closest to Gurley St (4, 7, 1B) are slightly noisier. Some guests notice it, others don’t, but we thought it deserved at least a mention to consider when booking. brbrAll rooms have at least 1 portable A/C unit for those summer months when it can get a little warm. The larger units have 2 in them. There are fans in each room as well. For the winter months there is a boiler system that generates heat for the house and all rooms. brbrAll TV’s are subscribed to Hulu Live TV which includes 75+ channels and all Hulu content. Other streaming apps are installed but depending on the service you may need to login to them using your own account info to access content. Please log out of them before leaving to prevent the use of your account by others. brbrAll guests have access to the common areas of the home as well as the outside common areas. While you are free to explore the inside of the Mansion please be considerate of other guests that may be staying and do your best not to disturb them, including keeping noise down to a reasonable level. brbrThere is a shared laundry room on the south side of the building. Laundry supplies are not provided but there are 2 washers and 2 dryers available for use if you provide your own. brbrA commercial water softener is connected to the house. Its still not advisable to drink directly from the faucet but the showers and linens should feel nice!
