Dragonfly is a unique tiny house addition to our cozy property nestled in the natural Fish Lake Subdivision just 5 miles from downtown Talkeetna. Drive into your peaceful modern getaway located right next to the Fish Lake Multi-Use Trailhead, accessible both winter and summer. We have designed our three tiny cabins to enjoy the best of Alaska, from a walk/ski to the lake/trail system, bike on the paved path, or enjoy unique downtown.br**Please note, this is a small space, a “tiny home” bathroom areas are small and living area is small. Best suited to a couple or a couple with a small child. brDragonfly Cabin is a modern design tiny home that is on a 10 x 20 foundation and was built in 2023. It is decorated with comfort and quality in mind and adorned with Alaskan art. It has a queen bed and a chair that converts to a single floor futon (37x80). Although the space is small, you will not lack for amenities that make you feel spoiled in the natural wooded surroundings. This space is best suited for a couple or couple and one child. We have excellent WiFi, a 43” Roku TV where you can log into your own accounts and watch your favorite shows, a shower room with a wall mounted hairdryer, a separate room with a toilet and mini sink, electric wall mounted fireplace, electric heat, in-counter dishwasher, two burner counter top stove, microwave, dorm size refrigerator, coffee pot, and fully stocked kitchen. We supply hotel quality linens and bedding. Although this cabin is new, we are not new to the business and have hundreds of 5 star reviews on our original cabin that we call Denali. Denali Cabin sits on the back of the property, and has a separate driveway, Aspen Cabin, Dragonfly’s twin shares a driveway with Dragonfly and has the same design. For safety reasons and out of respect for the well-being of our sled dogs, guests are prohibited from accessing the sled dog yard located down at the end of the driveway to the right.brbrYou may see other guests on the grounds utilizing the dumpster on the grounds near the cabin.brbrYou are welcome to reach out for questions or recommendations at any time!brbrThe cabin is located in the Caswell area of Alaska off mile 88 of the Parks Highway, between Willow and Talkeetna. The area is known for its amazing hunting and fishing opportunities. The cabin is about 4 miles off of the highway in an area that is popular with dog mushers. You'll likely hear the howling and singing of the dogs during your stay.brbrA vehicle will be required to get around. brbrDuring certain times of year, access may require AWD or 4WD. Access during breakup and the muddy season, or after heavy snow fall might be more difficult.brbrThis cabin in generally easily accessible, though during certain times of year may require AWD. Access during breakup and the muddy season, or after heavy snow fall might be more difficult.brbrThe cabin is on a well and septic tank, so please don't flush anything but toilet paper down the toilets.brbrFor the protection and safety of the home owners & guests, this home is equipped with a noise decibel monitor that does not record sound, and an outdoor security cameras that take active video and audio recordings on the in the driveway and exterior of the house.brbrThe cabin is in an area popular with dog mushers and you'll likely hear the howling and singing of the dogs during your stay.brPlease do not cook or put anything on top of the wood stoves. Please put only firewood inside of the wood stoves. Do not burn cardboard or any other trash. brbrThe trails in the area are maintained by our local dog mushing community.
