The Marlin House – Cozy King Suite Cabin in Talkeetna

When we arrived there were sheets and towels in the dryer that I folded prior to being able to use the dryer.

Clean and quiet cabin with all you need. Everything was just as described and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Very soft and comfortable bed. Had everything for a comfortable stay! Loved the peace and quiet! Kids loved sleeping on the pull out sofa and pull out ottoman so they didn’t have to share. Lovely cabin in the woods! Highly recommend.

We had lots of room and we were close to town but in a quiet place without train or plane noise. The washer and dryer were handy, and the host provided much-appreciated extra service in getting an item back to us that we left. My Keurig-dependent wife struggled a bit to remember how to make coffee the old-fashioned way, but otherwise we had everything we needed. 5 stars.

Jared was very easy to work with and the Marlin House was very comfortable. All you need for a great weekend or longer stay.

Talkeetna remains an Alaskan bush community. Do not expect manicured lawns but the cabin is well furnished with a good bed, internet and tv. I don't think we used the tv but it is available. It is an interesting town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Talkeetna at the Marlin House. It was the perfect Valentine’s Day getaway from the big city. The cabin was easy to locate. It was clean and cozy and warm! Communicating with the host was great! We will definitely book there again and recommend the Marlin House to visitors from the lower 48. Thank you!

The Marlin House is just as described online. The king bed was very comfy (and I'm a bit of a bed snob) and the house was perfect for our one night stay. It's not fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. Just what I was looking for!

The Marlin Cabin was perfect. Spacious, comfortable and had everything we could need. A wonderful, extremely comfortable king bed in a single bedroom. Windows everywhere with good blackout shades. And so, so quiet. We loved it.

This was a great home in Talkeetna for our 2 day stay! Check in was easy. Inside very clean, outdoor property/front porch not so much. I sent a message to owner, never heard a peep from him. No check out instructions, etc. I would stay here again but would just have liked some communication for owner.

The property was clean, which is my number one priority and had lots of room for the two of us. It is convenient to the town of Talkeetna. It’s about 20 minute walk and a short three or four minute drive. The house was not ready at check in, but the owner responded immediately and took care of the problem.

Owner was very responsive. Bed in bedroom was very comfortable!

We stayed here July 21-23, 2025. It was perfect for us. Very very clean and comfortable. We had a rental vehicle so we drove to the main area of town for shopping, eating etc but walking there is do-able also. We would definitely stay here again!

This property was much nicer than I anticipated from the pictures. Absolutely would stay again, very comfortable, close location to town.

This was a lovely, comfortable, clean and roomy accommodation for visiting the cute town of Talkeetna. It was close to downtown. It was well stocked with everything we could need. We would definitely stay here again!

We were unable to stay at the house as our plans changed but the Owner's communication was fabulous and we look forward to re-booking!
