We are one of Sewards Historic buildings and part of the Historic walking tour. This rental has been renovated to provide modern amenities, but we kept some of the historic charm. Heart of downtown, but on a quiet street, you are walking distance to almost everything! brThis charming, but small, apartment is 1 block from Resurrection Bay, the Sea Life Center and 1 street over from downtown shops and restaurants. This is one of Sewards oldest buildings and originally a boarding house from the old railroad days. Come stay and be part of Seward's history. Speaking of history, we are right behind the museum/library. brThis rental is on ground level and has a single step private entry, making it more accessible. It has been renovated, but we kept some of the historic charm. The size is approximately the same as a standard hotel room, but we provided a lot more amenities and a LOT more affordable. It is a studio style with queen super comfy bed, closet, full kitchen, bathroom with walk-in shower and a seating/sleeping area. Sofa folds down to full size bed. Add the memory foam topper from the closet for maximum comfort. There are blinds and blackout curtains to help you get a restful nights sleep. This apartment is in a building housing 7 units, so quiet hours are a must. Tv is streaming with free WIFI boasting highest speed available with unlimited data. This room has a desk, armoire, chest of drawers, two chairs, nightstands, and a creek/ mountain view that often has eagles perched over the river looking for salmon. This would be a great room for a large family or older children. This bedroom is connected to the master bathroom which has a sink, shower, and jetted tub. Another room in the bathroom houses the toilet and bidet. There is another bedroom attached to the master bathroom. You must walk through the shower/tub area to get to this room which has a queen bed, chest of drawers, and nightstand. This bedroom has a small window overlooking the forest. brbrMiddle floor: The middle floor has the living area that has two sofas, one loveseat, an accessory chair, side table, and coffee table. There is a TV for entertainment. The dining area has a large table, and the kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and accessory appliances to help cook most meals. There is a large deck outside of the dining area with a table to enjoy the view. Outside of the half bathroom, there is an office area with games. The entrance to the house is on this floor.brbrBottom floor: After going down the stairs, there is a hallway connecting a bathroom, storage room (locked), and two bedrooms. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo and sink. There is also a sliding door in the bathroom that reveals the laundry room complete with washer, dryer, and boiler system (Please do not touch the boiler system- it is very complicated. Fishing in the creek is illegal.br6. No smoking, no parties, and no pets.br7. Alaska is windy! Do not use the fire pit on excessively windy days. Please monitor the fire at all times and put out the fire immediately after use.br8.Bear Bottoms is in the Alaskan wilderness. While viewing eagles next and hunt for salmon is majestic, bear and moose encounters are not. These animals are very dangerous. Be careful and watch out for wildlife. This stylish townhouse is located between the harbor and downtown, making it an easy venture to restaurants, shopping and most attractions. brbrThe upper level boasts a rich, open living space with a full kitchen, laundry, full bathroom, and dining area. Enjoy drinks or grilling on the cozy outdoor deck. The upper level bedroom features a King bed and includes a view of Mt. Marathon and a walk-in closet. The lower level is perfect for up to 6 more guests as you come down into a second full bathroom and two more bedrooms: one with three twin beds and the other with one queen and one twin. brbrParking is available right in front of the unit. The garage is not accessible for guests. Seward is a 2-3 hour scenic drive from Anchorage or you can take the Alaska Railroad to/from Seward for a scenic 4 hour journey.
