Eye of Denali: Denali View/River Front

Wonderful house with cabin feel for a relaxing stay in a great location.

Expedia said I would receive an email on how to enter the home. The host was good and fast about communicating. Although owner goes through Vrbo. Information from both apps did not send an email how to get in. Beautiful home and property.

This is a rustic cabin in a beautiful setting. Everyone in our party was pleased and wants to go back.

Overall was an amazing place to stay!! Great location and views. Only two things we would comment on. One was the inability to fish from the property which we weren’t aware of, and the other was the lack of blackout shades. Made it a little tough to get to sleep.

This was our favorite stay of our two weeks in Alaska. Beautiful clean place to stay with wonderful views. Highly recommend!

Quiet right on the river 1 mile to town on a bike trail easy peasy!

It fit our needs well. Very cozy and rustic. The view of river is amazing! Close to downtown. The train is close by. Would recommend to others.

My twin brother and our spouses stayed at this wonderful place, full of Alaskan history and culture. Very unique place to stay. It is right next to a river.

Eye of Denali is an awesome property. Very clean and fresh and comfortable, and great location, within easy walking distance of downtown. We spent some time in the back yard by the river, and took some great photos with Denali shining behind us.

Check in process was very simple. Could use nonstick pans and more towels for larger parties but everything overall did the job. The bikes were really fun to ride into town. Washer and dryer were much appreciated. Beautiful place, roomy, close location to town and a view you can't beat. Amazing time with family and friends.

Great views, perfect distance from town

A beautiful home with beautiful views! Even got to see the top of Mt McKinley (which I have heard is rare) from the backyard!

This is the perfect rustic setting for an Alaskan adventure! Loved the beautiful river setting with Denali in the background! Talkeetna is a quaint little town with several dining options and little shops to explore! We would definitely recommend Eye of Denali for your next stay!

Neat built home right in the river and a much needed one mile walk from town after driving and eating all the towns good food! Right next to the train depot if that’s what your plans are, or good access to the min roads to get into Denali (2hr drive). I liked the welcome book and seeing all the guests that have stayed and some of the items in the house were neat and showed some of the history. A train occasionally went by but did not bother us. Great views of the river with a nice yard with tables next to the river to enjoy.

Perfect place and location for our vacation stay at Talkeetna. Loved the character and the views out the big windows. Only suggestion we would have is to upgrade the dryer. It took an overly long time to dry clothes which is a waste of your electric bill. We visited K2 Aviation for a flightseeing tour, Mahays jet boat, atv tour, shopping and who can forget all the great food!

The Eye of Denali in is just as the description says. It has so much Talkeetna history and personality in it. It may not be the newest, fanciest option around, but it was spotless, has an amazing view, kind and responsive hosts, and these incredible little treasures to look at and read about all over. The location was great, far enough away from downtown for quiet and privacy but close enough to walk anywhere we needed. Thank you!!!

Lovely location and views. We had clear skies and pristine views of Denali. The house is comfortable and well appointed, within easy walking distance to town. Trains and sightseeing planes were the only downsides.

Such a fun place to stay on the River. Lots of items, history and wall readings in this comfortable log cabin to enjoy.

From the moment we arrived, the Eye Of Denali captured my heart! The cabin was awesome, very clean. The river views from inside and outside were spectacular. Very convenient to TALKEETNA. Don’t miss staying here.

Comfortable, inviting and eclectic cabin in the most beautiful of locations, right on the Susitna River. Easy to find. Very convenient to town, but with a feeling of being just a touch remote. We hit the weather jackpot and had amazing views of Denali every single day! The 3 bedrooms upstairs are very adequate and comfy with awesome views. It was necessary for us to leave the bedroom doors open at night, for the heat rising from downstairs. An extra blanket or two would have been helpful, but we were prepared with layers of clothing. And this is AK after all...so not complaining, just informing! One bathroom is upstairs & one downstairs with nice towels and bathing amenities provided. The kitchen is great with all the necessary needs; silverware, plates, pans, mugs etc... We would have loved an outdoor grill (gas), as we made most of our meals at the cabin. There isn't an indoor fireplace, nor an outdoor firepit which maybe isn't allowed due to fire restrictions, but sure would have been a bonus. Again, all informational. Being from Colorado, I'm sure there is a safety reason for no open fires. I find this to be a very hard property to review, as it was exactly as I expected, and perfect for our needs. However, if you have the romanticized movie picture perfect cabin expectation, you will be disappointed. If you want an Alaskan cabin in the woods experience, surrounded by nature's beauty, this is the place! We'd definitely stay again. Self-check-in was perfect.
