This comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, solar electric house is located on the north edge of Laramie, nestled into the hillside in a quiet neighborhood with shared open space and paved green-belt trail just up the hill for walking, running or biking. From the top of the hill, you can see the Snowy Range to the west, the Laramie Range to the east, and the mountains of Rocky Mountain National Park to the south. With its 360 degree views, this is a great place for viewing sunsets or sunrises and watching the weather. br The xeriscape landscaping looks good year-round. A 2-car garage and driveway provides off-street parking in addition to the two street spaces.br Inside, the fully equipped, recently updated kitchen and large dining area provide the opportunity to cook up great meals and save money by dining in. The living room is furnished with a couch, two chairs and a rocker, and has large, south-facing windows for a sunny, warm atmosphere and nice view.br Of the three bedrooms, one contains a king size bed and two contain queen size beds. The large guest bathroom with tiled shower and full tub is across the hall mid-way between the two guest bedrooms. The master suite has a comfortable love seat with a lamp for reading and a desk for more serious tasks. The master bath/shower and toilet are separated from the sink area so two people can use the space at the same time. This bedroom also has a large walk-in closet and sliding glass doors out to the small fenced dog kennel. br The artwork hung throughout the house is original watercolor by Cheyenne artist Carleen S. Williams (1913-2013).br Ames Place is 1.2 miles from the U.W. Art Museum and Arena Auditorium and 1.4 miles from War Memorial Stadium. Albany County Fairgrounds is only 4.5 miles away if you're here for the Jubilee Days rodeo or the Snowy Range Music Festival. The Brown House is located a short distance to the U.W. campus and the local downtown scene. It is also within walking distance of LaPrele park...the park is Laramie's largest with playground equipment, a disc golf course and Huck Finn fishing pond. The house was recently updated to include new flooring, open space and 4 large screen TV's, but still maintains the old school charm. The entire upstairs living area is all yours, along with a spacious back yard that includes a BBQ grill, picnic table, and hot tub, corn hole. The downstairs is occupied by one of the owners when not out of town working. The quiet and safe neighborhood are perfect for a weekend in Laramie... Whether it is to enjoy weekend games, mountain sports, graduations or even Cheyenne Frontier Days. The house sleeps seven...any more than that will require permission and rate adjustments.

Please be mindful that to access the bedrooms, it does require climbing a few stairs.

We do have a camera placed outside of the front door and back door. This is to help with our security & to keep track of snow accumulation so we can have the deck shoveled for you in winter months.brbrAs you walk into the front door you will be welcomed into the spacious living room, dining room with seating for 10, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also one bedroom with a king bed on the main level, as well as a full bathroom off of the kitchen. On the second level you will find three more bedrooms, another living area, and a full bathroom. Winding up our unique spiral staircase, you'll find an office space, and the master suite. With our luxurious home having five bedrooms, six beds, and three bathrooms, you'll have more than enough space to enjoy your much needed time away.brbrWe can allow more than 11 guests if you have couch sleepers or use air mattresses, reach out to the host for reservations larger than 11. brbrPlease understand that we only have an air conditioning unit on the third story of our home as the rest of the home stays fairly cool with our mild summers. We do have stand-alone fans & opening windows in other rooms. brbrPlease contact the host if you are interested in hosting a small event at our home.
