Our lake, Echo Lake (at 93 acres; depth 18 ft.), is the smallest lake -- but also the calmest and quietest. There is plenty of room and depth for water sports (such as skiing, tubing, jet skiing, etc.), particularly as the deepest side of the lake is near our property. Likewise, activities can expand to the other lakes, which include Chain Lake (201 acres; 19 ft.), Stone Lake (178 acres; 16 ft.), Sand Lake (547 acres; 25 ft.) and Dam Lake (732 acres; 32 ft.). Our cabin is located right smack in the middle of the true north woods experience. Vilas county is home to one of the largest collections of freshwater lakes in the world, with more than 1,300 beautiful lakes and 73 rivers and streams. The Eagle River chain is the largest freshwater chain of lakes in the world and boasts over 11,000 acres. It’s primarily known for its Muskies but also offers an exceptional fishery focusing on walleye and panfish. Fishing not your thing No problem. The chain is fully recreational. Jet ski rentals and wake board boats are available to rent within a 1/2 mile of the cabin. Plenty of places to eat & catch a drink right off the water and even on the water (may come across a floating margarita bar). A few popular sand bars on the chain can become quite festive on holiday weekends.brbrThe cabin itself is sprawled out giving everyone plenty of space and it’s not cramped like most of the cabins in the area. The entire property is 1 acre and its completely fenced in for dogs. Great WIFI signal for the area. Large game room is where most people like to congregate for some competitive ping pong, darts, bags, board games or some classic arcade games (over 400). Have bags, floatable’s, water trampoline, axe throwing, spike ball, lawn darts and 4 cross for outdoor entertainment. Two large fire pits in the back yard, one lakeside and one closer to the back patio. Picnic table and giant spool by lakeside fire pit. Two grills available for outdoor cooks. Neither is gas. I have a large Weber charcoal and a large green egg that I use primarily for smoking. It’s the best way to cook on vacation. Put some ribs on the grill, go out and enjoy your day on the water and come back home to a tasty dinner. Property has two kayaks that come with the rental. Fishing boat and pontoon boat also available for rent. brbrThe town of eagle river itself has a population of 1,628 and has that small town charm with a vibrant downtown. Because of the many lakes in the area, the city is a popular vacation and retirement destination. The area contains many condominiums, seasonal vacation homes, and hunting cabins. Fishing, water sports, biking, hiking, antiquing, golfing, snowmobiling and ATV’ing are a just a few of the many activities the area offers. brbrThe main house is about 30 yards from the water. The lakeside duplex is not operational atm but plans on remodeling it are in the works. There will be no work being done during your stay but we do plan on renting this out for multi family/large family weekly rentals during the summer, hopefully by summer 2025. The duplex would add an additional 950 sq ft of living quarters, with each side consisting of a full kitchen, bathroom, large bedroom and lakeside views from the living room through the large bay windows. You can’t get any closer to the water besides living in a house boat. Rates for summer ‘25 will be $2450.00 plus taxes for weekly rentals for the entire property. 24’ pontoon available for rent for $500.00 per week.

Lake Breeze is a gorgeous lake home found about 75' from the water. The home is less than 10 years old and was very gently used during that time! So even the carpeting still feels fresh and new! There are 3 bedrooms, each with television. The master bedroom complete with king size bed is on one end of the home and features a ceiling fan as well as an in suite full bath with stand up shower stall. The other two bedrooms and full bath are found on the opposite end of the home. One bedroom offers a queen bed while the other bedroom across the hallway offers a full bed and twin bed, with lake view.. The full bath on this end offers a bathtub for easy bathing of little ones as well as an in tub showerbrbrThe kitchen, dining room and living room areas are an open concept. The ceiling fan is usually all you need in the woods to stay cool, but if you happen to hit a very warm spell, the home is equipped with central air. The kitchen is fully stocked and features modern full size appliances including a dishwasher. There's a utility room just off the kitchen with the washer/dryer and a doorway to the two car garage that guests have full use of. The dining room seats 6 comfortably and the view through the extra wide sliding patio doors in the living room provides that spectacular sight of the water while enjoying a meal together. The living room furniture is fresh and comfortable for relaxing indoors with a good book or curling up in front of the television with a good movie! There's a leather ottoman here that opens to a twin bed if needed. Feel free to enjoy complimentary WiFi as well!br brThe home is surrounded by mature trees offering privacy from the neighbors! The huge lakeside deck offers plenty of space to lounge in the great outdoors. Enjoy soaking up the sun while watching the kids swim in the shallow sand bottom water or play in the open area lakeside! A paddle boat provides additional play time in the sun! Enjoy a pleasant outdoor dining experience, with steaks hot off the grill, thanks to the charcoal grill mounted just a few steps off the deck. Then when the stars come out, build a bonfire lakeside in the in ground fire pit with complimentary wood (when available).brbrThe large dock fits 3-4 boats easily, and the fishing right off the dock is pretty good too! Catfish lake features great musky, walleye and pan fishing. It's a lake known for recreational fun and with Boat Sport Marine conveniently located less than one mile away, you'll find plenty of water toys to try your hand at, and fuel too! Of the 28 lakes on the Chain, the 9 upper lakes are easily navigable from our dock. The other 19 lakes, referred to as the lower chain, can be accessed by use of the Burnt Rollways boat hoist that will lift your boat over the dam from Cranberry Lake, put it down on the other side of the dam on Long Lake and off you go to discover the Three Lakes end of the Chain! brbrAs an added bonus to the home, Twelve Pines Bar & Grill, known for their pizza, is located literally just down the road within walking distance! You will be amazed at the incredible sunsets and kaleidoscopic light show from the northern lights. One with a queen size bed and the other has a full size w/twin on top. There is also another full size w/twin on top off the living room. There is one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully furnished. Linens and towels are provided. On chilly nights the wood stove provides plenty of warmth (wood is provided).
