Stayed Sep 4, 2025The Bavarian Chalet is a treasure. We stayed for a long weekend in September. The weather was very cold but we were cozy in the chalet with its wonderful fireplaces and cozy bedrooms. My 5 year old granddaughter described it as “sleeping in a fairy tale” we had three generations staying together and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. It was a blessing to be able to bring 3 dogs We all loved the beach and the private property and grounds. In one word the Bavarian Chalet is STUNNING

Stayed May 9, 2025We had a big family bbq and it was the best place to get everyone together! Plenty of space for games. We loved the fire pit, and hanging out on the docks. Such a peaceful place to spend the weekend. We rented a pontoon and exploring the chain of lakes was a great experience! Thank you! This cabin had everything we could have needed and more!

Stayed Jul 13, 2024This has to be hands down the best cabin we have ever rented. We rent 2 to 5 cabins each year and have stayed around Northern WI and Northern MN many times. This property has the nostalgia of a gorgeous old lake chalet. The woodwork is amazing throughout. The property is large and private. There is a beautiful boat house that I wish I could have used, but understand that the owners would not want to allow that. The layout was great for families. Lots of kid spaces, areas for the adults to relax and gathering area for all! Amazing that Pitliks saved this property and are willing to share with the world. We would have reserved for next year, but we all agreed that we like to keep trying new areas. We also all agreed that we plan to come back. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Stayed Dec 29, 2023We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bavarian Chalet. The location of the house is great as it is very close to the lake and is surrounded by the woods. During our stay we had no issues with the temperature inside of the house nor any problems with water/power outage. The best feature about the chalet is definitely the large fireplace found in the living area. Additionally, the chalet is very equipped with towels, sheets, pots, and pans. We recommend staying at the Bavarian Chalet to large groups as it can really comfortably accommodate many people. We are looking forward to coming back!

Stayed Aug 24, 2023Love the classic traditional Bavarian construction. So warm and welcoming. Plenty of room and lots of space to spread out with a big group. A little bit a trek coming back up from the lake but well worth it! Just a magical place.

Stayed Jul 15, 2023The Bavarian Chalet was perfect for our family of 9 adults and 3 children. Very roomy and the bedrooms are cute and comfy. Fished and boated during the day and enjoyed bonfires and the stars in the evening. Highly recommend!
