You will love your stay in this beautiful, peaceful area. This is a ranch-style home very close to town but in a quiet neighborhood with small hobby farms and orchards. brbrWe live in the top portion of the house. Yours is the bottom portion (not a basement), which is 2100 sq ft and is a separate private living space with a private entrance. It is beautiful with high ceilings and consists of 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen, laundry facility, theater room, and wifi. 2 high quality queen beds, 1 full size bed with memory foam, and one quality twin bed. There is also a very nice queen sofa sleeper and two smaller couches. It has granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, 9-ft ceilings, and real hardwood floors throughout. Your unit has a walk-out entrance with a beautiful yard with a large lawn.brbrYour access is the bottom (north entrance). There are no steps and it is wheelchair accessible. There is a keypad with an access code that will be sent to you after booking.brbrOne dog is allowed with a $100 pet fee, but only on a case-by-case basis. Please message us before booking and tell us about your pup (breed, size, age, mannerisms). Also, your dog must not be left alone in the home while you are gone (there is a wonderful doggy day care just one mile from us).brbrWe will interact with you as much or as little as you'd like. Feel free to ask us about local sights and restaurants. And, for a very reasonable rate, we would love to take you to the lake on our wakeboard boat for wakeboard/surf lessons, or to show you some amazing hiking or mountain biking trails.brbrThis is a very peaceful neighborhood, very near to town but also tucked away and very safe. Most of the neighbors have small hobby farms and orchards (no roosters nearby, thankfully). The views from the house are gorgeous.brbrThis is Southern Utah... so, no public transportation. You'll need a car. If you really want to experience the full beauty of this area then bring (or rent) a 4x4, 4-wheeler, or mountain bike and explore some of our beautiful back country.brbr*House Rules*brPlease, no shoes in the house. We know that you're on vacation, so we know there will be a lot of smiles and laughter (hopefully). However, because this is a multi-unit house please keep things somewhat quiet after 10pm on weekdays, and 11pm on weekends.brbrAlso, please only 5 people in the hot tub at one time. Please shower before getting into the hot tub, and please completely dry off before going back into the house (hardwood floors don't like water).

Updated turn of the century farm house - The Attic is the upper floor of this frontier home. Come enjoy a touch of history as you explore and make memories in Southern Utah. This home has its roots in early polygamy history of the area as well as a farmhouse and early 'garage' for model A's and T's as the automobile made its way west. As the city and area grew its been a retail store front on the highway on your way to Zion National Park. brbrEscape Properties are here as a tool during your stay, but we try to stay out of your way as you enjoy your vacation. If you need us we are here!brbrCommon Space: The property has a separate two-bedroom suite downstairs (rented separately) that shares common area spaces which are the laundry facility, deck and BBQ grill/picnic table.brbrParking is available behind the home.brbrThe homes last commercial venture was as an old army surplus and camping gear store. In recent history before the current owners bought this property it was painted a bright yellow and blue and was known as the 'sunshine' home. brbrToday we've updated it as best we can without compromising its character. We added a fire suppression system and integrated smoke detection systems, we've added a modern laundry facility.brbrWhere this home was built and modified over time, it does share the heating and cooling system with the lower unit. As such we have also added a stand alone AC unit and portable heaters so you can control your climate. At the back of the building, common area, is a large covered patio with BBQ, picnic table.brbrDue to its age, there are unique characteristics that one should be mindful of - first is the home was built when electricity was considered a luxury and was not common in Southern Utah. This home was also designed and built before the concept of indoor plumbing. Modifications to add outlets, adjust walls for a modern bathroom working with the building materials and construction techniques of that era do make for some challenges. The home's location on the lot also is unique in that it is not set back from the road by 20-25 feet. The home has never moved, but as the community grew and needs of modern transportation changed, the roads have encroached on it. But this is the charm and experience this property offers.brbrbrThe bedroom has a comfy queen bed and sleeps 1-2 persons.brbrIn the living room is the kitchenette and a futon sofa bed. It is a full size but we suggest that it only sleeps 1 person.brbrThere is not a door dividing the two areas. If you need extra bedding for the futon, please contact us. We will direct you where and how to get items from the laundry area.brbrThe property has a separate 2 bedroom suite below (rented separately) that shares common area space. In this space is the laundry facility as well as the bbq grill/picnic table. The units main Heating/Cooling is controlled by the lower unit. Therefore we have provided the fireplace (Elec. Heater) and a separate AC unit in addition so you can control your climate. Other amenities include a dedicated workspace, wireless internet, 2 smart TV’s, board & card games, books & magazines including plenty of maps and hiking information regarding Zion National park. Sleeping arrangements include 1 full bedroom with a California King size bed as well as an easy pullout Queen sized sofa sleeper in the living area. All linens and then some are provided. If traveling with an infant, we are happy to provide a Pack N Play for additional convenience for your little one.
