Container Home @ Stardust Big Bend 5 min from Park

Terlingua, Texas, United States

Summary:brbrWelcome to Terlingua's Stardust Big Bend, where we primarily offer luxury A-Frames, but this one is our budget-friendly option, the container home. The location is central, 5 minutes from the national park and Ghosttown, on the main highway. It has a full kitchen with all cooking essentials. Even though the container home is tight, you can relax and spread out more in our large clubhouse next door. The clubhouse has a pool table, air hockey, foosball, arcades, darts & more. We have 12 rentals in total for large groups to stay together.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrThis is our budget-friendly option, so the rates are low compared to our more luxurious cabins. However, you still benefit from the great location (5 mins from the park and the ghost town) and amenities such as the clubhouse. Being a container, everything is a bit tight as containers are only 8 feet wide. We have two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There is a full kitchen with all the cooking essentials, pots/pans, utensils, plates, silverware, spices, oil, coffee, creamer, and sugar provided. We have a shower and restroom, and we provide clean white linen and towels. There is a full fridge, freezer, oven, and stove available so you can cook and save money. brbrbrbrThe clubhouse is next door with a pool table, arcade games, giant air hockey, foosball, dart board games, and more. You have 24/7 access to the clubhouse. brbrbrbrOn the outside, we have four chairs around a fire pit. You get a gorgeous view of the Chisos Mountains while sitting outside. The container is close to the road, so there will be some lights from the cars passing on the road, however, you are able to move the chairs to the other side if desired or sit outside the clubhouse. brbrbrbrIf you understand that this is a container home and you will be spending much of your day in the park, then you will be satisfied. If you want lots of room to move around, then this is probably not a good fit for you. You can hang out in the clubhouse if you feel a bit tight in the container home.brbrbrbrWe also have an on-site guest laundry with a washer and dryer. We provide the laundry detergent for your convenience. brbrbrbrThere is a charcoal BBQ grill next to the Container. We provide grilling utensils, lighter fluid, and a lighter. brbrbrbrWe have level-2 EV chargers on site to charge your Tesla (NACS) or non-Tesla (J1772) electric vehicles. There is an additional $30 fee to use the EV charger if needed (charged for each night of the booking).brbrbrbrWe have backup Generac generators for the full facility. Power outages are frequent in the area (sometimes 2-3 times per month) and we are one of the very few properties in the area with backup power. You don't want to be stuck in a vacation rental when the power goes out. Temperatures can be extreme at any time of the year in the Big Bend.brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrYou will be given the door code to enter your unit. You have access to the entire container home, the outside seating, the fire pit, and the clubhouse. Please stay on the walkways and don't wander off the walkways or near other cabins to give everyone their privacy.brbrbrbrThe Neighborhood:brbrWell, we are in the desert. There is not much of a neighborhood as we have vast empty spaces around us, yet close to the park and restaurants. The Ghost Town is 3 mins away, Big Bend National Park is 5 mins, Lajitas is 15 mins. There are very few properties nearby. The back side of our property has Cigar Mountain, there is only one vacation rental on it that is visible from the property. Other than that you have unrestricted views of Big Bend National Park, Chisos Mountains, Santa Elena Canyon, and other nearby mountains.brbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrA car is essential to get around. Some businesses in town offer jeep rentals for your off-roading adventuresbrbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrPlease specify the correct number of people when booking.brbrbrbrPets are not allowed. If we do find out you brought a pet (which we almost always do when guests try to break the rules), there will be $199 extra cleaning fee and any damage by the pet will also be charged to your card.brbrbrbrInteraction with Guests:brbrPlease send a message in the app. We will respond promptly. If you don't get a response in 30 mins, feel free to call us
