Awesome large 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home in a fantastic location. This recently remodeled home works wonderfully for every occasion. brbrSuper close to the Q2 soccer stadium, the Domain (with an incredible array of restaurants and shopping), a 300-acre city park with hiking/biking trails about 200 feet from the house, and a handful of the best craft breweries in town all within a mile or two.brbrThere are two very large living areas downstairs, both equipped with large-screen TVs and plenty of room to spread out. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms - a very spacious master suite with a king-sized bed, two additional bedrooms with queen-size beds, and a 4th bedroom with two sets of bunkbeds - a single-over-double and single-over-single. TV`s in every bedroom as well, with the exception of the bunkbed room. Additionally, if needed, there are two sleeper sofas. Enjoy time indoors watching movies on the large screen TVs or hanging out by the pool (which can be heated for a fee in the fall & winter). Two dining areas - a formal dining room with a very large dining table and breakfast dining with additional barstools for the kitchen. The pool chemicals are balanced and safe to swim most of the time even when something goes wrong with the equipment. You have to be ok with this possibility. Full refunds will not be given if the pool is for some reason not usable, but you will get a partial refund for not being able to use it. It is a sensitive driveway situation and must be carefully arranged. It is a long tall driveway so please understand that it is steep which allows for the privacy and we have been going up and down the driveway for 60 years and it is fine and solid and strong. Once you have made a reservation and before your, I can send you a photo for our guest parking spaces which will help hopefully ease your arrival. Most people don't think twice about it, but I like to be forthright and give you the heads up that we have a long tall steep driveway. That’s what gives us the privacy!brPlease leave space to make sure cars can get in and out of the driveway and leave the circle drive clear and do not park along the bamboo privacy fence or the small space next to the little casita which is behind the privacy fence where I live. When you come up the driveway, it is easier to come and go if you turn your car around and are facing out. brbrThank you for your parking consideration. brbrAlso, we have an energy usage issue, especially in the summer so please keep the AC between 75-80 degrees from May to October in the hot times that Texas gets and generally we leave the house at 75 in the winter time. We appreciate your respect and help with our high bills and the energy usage. Please be mindful of our generosity and hospitality as we are respectful for your comfort. Unfortunately, and I apologize in advance that the 1941 architecture was not designed with handicapped features. **While we have had individuals who seemed to not have an issue as it is a one-story, the bathrooms are smaller and it is structurally very difficult to alter the accessibility for wheelchairs. I wish we could alter the architecture from the 1940s and our gravel driveway and rugged terrain and an old gravel and steep driveway that we do our best to accommodate everyone we can. The structure is a one story and was designed in 1941 for a family and please inquire if you have special needs. For any wheel chair or walkers, please park close the 2nd porch with only a 3” step to enter our home. **Please let us know as soon as possible if there are any issues with the house and we will tend to them as soon as possible. Please tell us when you notice or won’t be able to fix them or compensate if we don’t know about them** We are across the street from Camp Mabry Army base and the Texas Military Forces Museum which is really fascinating. There is an outdoor grill for your use and a Washer and dryer in the upstairs hall.brbrPlease note garage is not accessible during the stay. Due to space limitation, your parking spot is at the beginning of the driveway near the street (on the property by not near the garage) and it's a short walk up the driveway from the parking spot to the door.
