The home sits well back from the road (paved) on 1 acre and backs up to US Forest Service property. The main floor of our home includes master bedroom with king bed, 2nd bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with tub & shower combination, laundry, fully equipped spacious kitchen, dining table, and living area with TV. The second floor has one bedroom with 2 full size beds, full bathroom with shower, and sitting room which contains a queen size futon and TV. This home is well suited for families, but not ideal for groups containing more than 6 adults. Home has a large wrap around deck with outdoor furniture and a Weber gas bbq. This is a great way to enjoy the beautiful evenings in Custer. There are many fire restrictions in Custer County so for your protection and ours there are no open fires on this property. This property does not have air conditioning, however the upstairs has opposing windows with box fans. The fans do a phenomenal job cooling the home on the rare occasion AC would be required. brbrThis property is the perfect jumping off spot for all of the activities available in the Black Hills. It is located at the end of a cul de sac and is bordered on two sides by the Black Hills National Forest. You can sit on the deck and hear the birds and watch the chipmunks play tag. Deer, turkey and coyotes are frequent visitors. This is the place to get away from it all and declare you are in Hog Heaven. This home features 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. There are two living areas as well as a full kitchen and dining area. The loft area features a master bedroom with king bed and bath with a walk in shower. The main level of the home has two bedrooms. One with a queen size bed and the other with a king size bed. The larger room has access to a private deck. The main floor bath room has a tub/shower combination. The kitchen and main living area are on this level. The sofa can be converted to a bed. There is a full kitchen and dining area with seating for 14. Most utensils and appliances are included along with some staple food items. French doors take you to the main deck where you can enjoy the best view for miles around. The lower level features a walk out deck with hammocks to enjoy a book or take a nap in the gentle breeze. The lower level bedroom features a king size bed. The lower level bath includes a tub/shower combination. Enjoy a movie and pop corn from the pop corn maker or play some board games or do a puzzle in the living area on this level. There are two queen sized air beds available also. A fire pit is located on the main level by the parking area. It has been sanctioned by the US Forest Service. Please use common sense when you use it according to the fire danger at the time you visit. Take a hike up the forest service trail and arrive at the top of the mountain for a view of the Hills that is hard to beat! We love our mountain get away and hope you will too.

UPDATE: CUSTER COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA FIRE BANbrDue to the extreme drought in the area, resulting in fire danger, the Custer County Commissioners passed a Resolution on 3-13-26 to ban all fires and fireworks in Custer County.brThis Resolution includes fire pits, warming fires, fireworks, and even the use of cigarettes if not in a car or building or standing in an area with no flammable material within 3 feet.brThis Resolution is in effect indefinitely (until conditions change). Consequences of violating the Resolution will be immediate.brTiny Home and Teeny Home will be removing the firewood/Solo Stoves from the homes and will provide an outdoor smoking area with a proper place to extinguish cigarettes.brbrTiny is 11x42 and features full size appliances, full bath, full length deck, two picnic tables, propane grill, and a Solo fire pit, wood provided.brThe house yard is set aside for guest use only. No through traffic or host visits.brThere is also a rented Teeny Home about 150' from Tiny Home. There is a privacy fence between the homes, and each home has its own access.brThe property is 8 acres with a tiny creek running through it in the wet season. Guests are welcome to move about the property, but please to not knock down the hay in our field. We mow and put it up in late July, then it is clear for roaming.brThere is a utility shed behind Tiny for your LAUNDRY needs.brLaundry soap, towels, bedding, generic coffee, cookware, dishes, utensils, condiments, and firewood are provided.brPlease bring your own bath soap, shampoo, and ice.brThere is a queen bed downstairs, a twin XL bed in the loft, and a queen sofa sleeper.brA little mezzanine adjoins the loft bed area, and it has a spare bed.brThe private yard is ample, and right across from the deck is Black Hills Forest land.brNear Tiny Home (about 40 yards) is Teeny Home of the Black Hills (designed for two guests). Teeny has its own private driveway, and there is a privacy fence between the homes.brThe TV is Roku with Discovery Plus and Netflix installed. brCrazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, Rushmore Cave, Rushmore Adventure Park, Reptile Gardens, and Bear Country are easy drives from the home.brOn three sides of the 8 acre property is public land (Black Hills Forest), one side is County Road, two sides are public countryside, and one side (over 100 yards away) is a well kept, quiet, 20 acre horse camp.brThe home is on a county GRAVEL road about six miles from the highway
