The home sits well back from the road (paved) on 1 acre and backs up to US Forest Service property. The main floor of our home includes master bedroom with king bed, 2nd bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with tub & shower combination, laundry, fully equipped spacious kitchen, dining table, and living area with TV. Stayed May 22, 2026The property is great! It was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen is very well stocked and labeled, and there are a lot of games for the family and kids to play. It's close to Custer and park, yet has ample space for the kids to run and play in the yard. Thanks, we'll be back again soon!

Stayed Jul 17, 2025This was a fantastic house for two adult couples. Plenty of space, great location, and fully stocked kitchen. We loved having the deck to relax in the cool weather in the evenings and have coffee on in the morning. The host was extremely prompt with communication and the pictures in the listing were exactly as seen. We would highly recommend this place.

Stayed Jun 21, 2025Over all it was a great place to stay, road noise was a little loud. There wasn't enough shower towels for everyone but we were able to find beach towels to use. We did have to go buy toliet paper because there wasn't enough left for us for the amount of time we were there. The kitchen was definitely stocked with everything a person could want or need. Beds were very comfortable.

Stayed May 8, 2025We had a wonderful stay in Custer, SD. Chris and Wendy thought of everything we might need while staying. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook most of our meals at the house. The area is beautiful and wonderful for hiking and animal watching.

Stayed Sep 8, 2024This house was a great stay for our family vacation in the Black Hills. It was close to Custer and Custer State Park which made it easy to get around. The house was clean with specific instructions and area suggestions. Kitchen had everything we needed and good pans to cook with. Large dining room table was perfect for family games. It was off a main road as other reviews stated but most of the houses in area are and did not affect quality of stay. Would stay at this property again!!
