Stayed Oct 16, 2024Our family of five very much enjoyed our fall getaway to Custer. The cabin was exactly as pictured. It is cute up north cabin theme. It was extremely clean and everything was neat and in working order. Host was responsive, informative and lovely to connect with. Pride and love for the community and property was evident. We loved being able to easily walk to great meals - even in the off season. Totally recommend visiting in the fall. It was quiet and beautiful. Thanks for a great trip and many family memories.

Stayed Sep 24, 2024The online pictures are very accurate and the home is literally just a block or two from the main hub of shops and restaurants. Recommend eateries were spot on; especially the breakfast and pie/dessert places. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed Sep 11, 2024Green Door Cottage is cozy, charmingly decorated, comfortable and well equipped. It has all you need for cooking. The living room was a comfortable gathering space for the 4 of us. We used the electric fireplace for the ambience and for a little bit of heat on the chilly mornings. There is a large TV with ROKU (which we did not use). The hosts are friendly and very responsive. The location is PERFECT for walking to dinner and shops in Custer and day tripping to Mt. Rushmore, and Custer State Park. I highly recommend driving the Wildlife Loop, Needles Highway, and the Iron Mountain Road (start from the south near the Custer State Park visitor center for a great distance view of the presidents). We enjoyed the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs, an active paleontological dig site. Sauce and Dough pizza was very good and Skogen Kitchen was excellent (needs reservations). Don't hesitate to book Green Door Cottage!

Stayed Aug 23, 2024This home in Custer was perfect for us exploring the area. It had all the comforts home and was clean and cozy. We enjoyed being able to walk to town for meals when desired, especially after we'd done so much driving.
