The green duplex has The Emerson Suite (top floor-3bd/1ba w/balcony) and The Charles Suite (first floor-2bd/1ba) and next door, the white duplex has The Harper Suite (top floor-3bd/1ba w/large balcony) and The Victoria Suite (first floor-3bd/2ba w/large porch). These two properties share a large professionally turfed backyard. Additionally, a half block down the street, we have another duplex with the Poppy Suite (top floor of grey duplex-3bd/1ba w/two balconies) and the Isla Suite (first floor-4bd/2ba w/porch), both of which share a professionally turfed courtyard. Be sure to check out the individual listings for a full list of amenities.brbrQUIET HOURSbrPlease note that this listing is situated on the top floor of a beautifully restored historic duplex. Although extensive renovations have been carried out, it is possible to hear occasional noise from the unit below. We kindly request that all guests show consideration towards one another by honoring our community's designated quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. Our guests use these items frequently to cook simple meals. And if you want to unplug, we’ve added books and games to the mix ~ there’s even a yoga mat if you feel so inclined!brbrThe sofa in this room folds open to become a twin sized bed. Extra linens, blankets pillows and pillowcases for the sofa are furnished. You'll find everything needed for a short or long stay; a perfect oasis for business or pleasure travelers. brbrYou’ll find your rooms to be immaculately clean and fresh. Ours is a pet- and smoke-free home. We’ll also do our best to keep cooking smells to a minimum during your stay.brbrThe Neighborhood:brIn 1979 our cozy house was built as the model home for this well-established residential community. Our home is a legally permitted short term rental property with off-street parking alongside our driveway. You’ll notice Spanish moss-covered live oaks lining many of the streets along your drive. brWe expect our guests to be respectful of our home and neighbors and we will enforce the house rules of no parties, amplified music or loud noises and no smoking. Any breach of the house rules will result in a forfeit of your security deposit in full. brWe live in a safe and quiet neighborhood which is great for morning and evening walks or runs. And if you’re a run/walker we’re in the middle of several beautiful locations for longer treks; the James Island County Park, West Ashley Greenway, Ft. Lamar Heritage Preserve and Sunrise Park…but more on that later…brCharleston is a foodie town. It’s difficult to find a bad meal here because there is such intense competition amongst the area restaurants. So eat up! Within 3 miles you can find BBQ, Bagels, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Mexican, Burgers, Seafood and they’re all locally owned, non-chain, yumminess!brAnd if you want to hit the gym after all that food, there’s Golds Gym, O2 Fitness, Pivotal Fitness, Orange Theory and Cross Fit James Island somewhere down the road.brbrTransportation:brUber and Lyft are everywhere these days and so, available for your vacation needs as well. The average Uber fee from our house to the Charleston International Airport (18mi / 30min) usually runs about $30. A trip to Folly Beach (7mi / 20min) is approximately $15 and to downtown Charleston (6mi / 11min) is just around $10. Uber Eats is also available for food delivery!brbrThough there are no traditional hop-on, hop-off bus tours in Charleston, they do have a free city trolley called the CARTA DASH Trolley. These travel through the historic part of Charleston, allowing you to to see much of what you would on the other guided tours, though without any commentary. However, if you use their Self-Guided Tour of Historic Charleston during your ride, you’ll never know the difference!brbrThere are 3 different routes that the trolley takes:br• Route 210 (Orange) drives from College of Charleston to the Aquarium.br• Route 211 (Green) will take you to the waterfront, Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, and City Marketbr• Route 213 (Purple) connects Brittlebank Park and Riley Stadium to the historic city center.brbrEach of these routes meet at the Visitors Center, Marion Park and Charleston Museum.
