There's a sumptuous living space on the ground floor, featuring a large wood burner, elegant leather furnishings, a dining table and a cabinet. Everything you need to light the wood burners is provided free of charge for your convenience. A range of standing lamps and candles provide fantastic atmospheric lighting. brbrOn the upper floor, there's a large bedroom containing an emperor-sized bed beneath a dramatic overhead oculus inscribed with Latin text and a further wood burner. There's a full bathroom on the upper floor with a power shower. brbrThe property does not have a kitchen, but we provide crockery, cutlery, glasses, cups and mugs, a large fridge, a toaster, a coffee maker and kettles on both floors. Tea, coffee and milk are provided.brbrIn addition to the wood burners, the Temple has central heating and additional fan heaters that can warm up the property rapidly in the winter months.

You are staying in a lush south facing private garden in the affluent Dean Village of Edinburgh.brYou come and go totally at your leisure as you have your own entrance.brThe cabin is one room, approx. 6.5m2 in size with a small double bed (120cm x 190cm).brIt has underfloor heating, wifi, a desk that folds so you can work in bed or eat from.brYou are welcome to share my patio sofa or bar table which is south facing and lovely and secluded.brI live next to the water of Leith with its lovely walkway right through Edinburgh via the medival Village of Dean and 2 min to the Gallery of Modern Art 1&2.brbrThere is a microwave, kettle, nespresso machine, wee sandwich toaster press and a mini (fits 200ml milk,1 small yoghurt, and a box of butter, then full so note MINI).There are plates and cutlery, various teas and coffees,uht milk pods and sugar.brI offer oat porridge, instant soup, fruit,biscuits/and or cake and often upon arrival there will be home baking.No breakfast other than these items are included the stay.brThere are privacy blinds that roll down and added extra black out cover blinds should you wish to use them too.brbrThe towels are in the bathroom which is in my main house and access to this is only available when I or my kids are home and awake-during other hours there is a camping toilet for emergency use.brbrI have been a host for 9 years at another platform and I have over 700 feedbacks my set up might sound unusual but I work from home and it works really well as my guests and I communicate really well.brbrI have full disclosure in Scotland and am allowed and cleared to work with children and young adults. Thus am happy to host a 16 year old+ in the cabin if they so wish.brbrNote it is a lawned and a patio area to walk over and down so not suitable for anyone who has issues walking and it might be slippery when wet/cold.brbrI offer laundry at £6 per wash and £6 for tumble drying/£3 me hanging up your laundry outside- or you can yourself hang it up to dry outside for free.brbrA King Charles Cavalier dog lives here, she is tiny and barks when meeting new people but adores cuddles and would hurt a fly.brbrMy entire garden and living areas are non smoking and non vaping.Outdoor wear/ shoes are not allowed in my main residence where the bathroom is.

Dean Village apartment is situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Dean Village, a peaceful retreat on the Waters of Leith, only a few minutes’ walk from the west end of Princes Street. Dean Village was the centre of the milling industry from the middle ages and this beautiful apartment is part of Westmills an old mill redeveloped as housing in the 1970s. The area is very picturesque and its peaceful green and leafy ambience belies its proximity to the city centre. There is easy access to the Waters of Leith walk way from the village which leads you along by the river on a scenic walk towards the Royal Botanical gardens and Leith in one direction and to the museum of Modern Art and the Dean Gallery in the other. On a more practical note there is a food shop selling basic food supplies, a very good bakery and a good selection of restaurants and bars all within a short walk of the apartment.brbrThe property is on the second floor of the block which benefits from lift service. The front door to the apartment opens into a long hall way off which all rooms are accessed. The large comfortable living room has three windows all offering stunning views over the waters of Leith, the room is furnished with a big corner sofa providing plenty of seating for 4 people. There is a TV with DVD player and free WiFi for the use of visitors. At the other end of the living room a dining table with 4 chairs provides a good space to work as well as to enjoy a home cooked meal prepared in the apartment. The kitchen is next door and can be screened off with a sliding glass door if required. This room also has a large kitchen table with seating for 4 guests; it is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, toaster and kettle as well as plenty of china, glass, cutlery and cookware.brbrThe light and airy Master bedroom is furnished with a king sized double bed with 2 bedside tables and lamps; it has a large built in wardrobe providing plenty of storage space.brbrA second good sized twin room with 2 single beds also with bedside tables and lamps has another large built in wardrobe which again provides ample storage space.brbrThe generously proportioned family bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC and plenty of hanging rails for towels etc.brbrWe can accept one well behaved dog in the property at a charge of £35, you can add your dog during the booking process just before you submit payment.
