Tucked away in a quiet corner of Old Tolbooth Wynd, just off the high street this charming second floor apartment with 2 bedrooms can accommodate up to 4 guests.
The property also benefits from private parking in a secure underground car park, while for those travelling by train, the back entrance to Waverley station is only 5 minute walk away.

A minutes' walk in the other direction up Old Tolbooth Wynd and through the ancient archway of the Tolbooth, and you reach the Royal Milewith its tempting selection of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes as well as an array of absorbing historic buildings and medieval closes. From the Royal Mile you are within an easy walk many of Edinburgh's favourite visitor attractions, including Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle, Dynamic Earth, the Scottish Parliament building, St Giles Cathedral, Mary King’s Close and the Camera Obscura.

The apartment is accessed from a secluded courtyard, 2 flights of stairs bring you to the front door which leads into a pleasant, light hallway with wooden floors. The living room is to your left and overlooks the paved courtyard which is attractively planted with shrubs and trees. The room is very light and airy with a high loft style ceiling and is simply furnished with a 2 seater sofa and chairs arranged around the fireplace. There is a TV with DVD player, free Wifi and an iPod docking station. Towards the rear of the room you will find a small dining table with seating for 4 guests.

Next to the living room is a small galley style kitchen with an internal window into the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, a fridge freezer, a microwave, toaster, kettle and plenty of glass, china, cutlery and cookware. There is also a washer dryer provided for your convenience.

The 2 bedrooms are situated to the rear of the apartment, the Master bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed and 2 bedside cabinets and has ample built in wardrobe space. The second bedroom has twin beds and again plenty of wardrobe space. Both rooms offer attractive views up to Calton hill.

A bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet wash hand basin and large mirror completes the accommodation.

The garage is directly below the apartment and can be accessed down 3 flights of stairs.

    Great property. Fantastic location. Parking is a huge plus if you need to rent a car. Easy communications and check in process.Only (minor) negative was the construction in the neighborhood surrounding the property. While it was peaceful at night, construction started at 7a each day. Will also say that the windows did a decent job of reducing the noise, though that meant they had to be closed.

    4 nights to get to know Edinburgh and surrounds. A great location. Arrived by train. A quick and easy walk with luggage to the flat. No trouble getting around each day. Departed via plane.

    It was very well located. Once we ignored Google Maps, the instructions were clear. Closed Road confused Google. The only complaint was our lack of ability to get clothes dried; took a long time. The place was excellent

    My two sisters and I travelled together to Edinburgh for an 11 night holiday. We are all seniors and found this accommodation to be perfect for us. It is on the second floor and there are no elevators which was a little difficult with our luggage otherwise they are easy stairs. The location was fabulous....only a block from the Royal Mile. We walked to all the city attractions. Grocery stores and restaurants were all within reach. The apartment its self was as described....no surprises! Communication with our landlord was always easy and they responded quickly. We enjoyed having a well supplied kitchen and a comfortable living and dining space. Hot water was plentiful so showers were a pleasure. We used the laundry and the WiFi which worked well but did not use the TV so I have no comments. We all slept well as the beds were comfortable. As we stayed for 11 nights we were given a complimentary freshening of the suite and all linens which was much appreciated. We would be pleased to stay again in the future and highly recommend this property.

    It was our fourth stay in Edingburgh. The location of the apartment surprised us. At the very end of the Royal Mile, the apartment was in a quiet residential complex. The apartment was great. Clean and cozy. From the bedroom window you had a good view of Carlton Hill. We felt very comfortable. And would love to come back.

    The apartment was just as described and shown in the pictures. It is in a quieter area just outside of Waverly but in easy walking distance to Calton Hill and other transportation. My family enjoyed coming home this cute apartment. Communication was quick and check in process was easy.

    We chose this property because we had a family of four and needed proper sleeping arrangements. The master bed was large, but quite firm wasn’t terrible though. The walk to the apartment goes down a close which was a little dark during the day so I can imagine it would be at night. We walked most of the time but there is a bus stop right at Canongate which was perfect. Starbucks was located near the bus stop. The keys were a little tricky on the door as one was a skeleton key. Being from Canada not having air conditioning was ok as we could open the windows during the night. The tub was a little unsafe as there was no slip mat which was tough showering and getting in and out of the tub. There are a flight of stairs to get up to apartment but nothing to worry about unless you have physical limitations. There is a little grocer store just up the road where we purchased fruits and breakfast items. Overall it worked well for a family of four.

    Our family of 4 stayed for several nights in this great apartment right off of the Royal Mile. The kitchen was well supplied, and the living room was cozy, but comfortable. The only small negative was that the mattress in the main bedroom was a bit hard. That is a minor quibble. Otherwise, a great place to choose for a stay in Edinburgh.

    On the first evening in Edinburgh we returned after dark to the property. The entranceway is not well lit and the stairs are uneven which contributed to a fall which resulted in a broken ankle. This required a trip to the Royal Edinburgh Infirmary emergency department and an early return to Canada by 2 people in our group.

    The apartment is very well situated being a block off the Royal Mile. We were able to walk everywhere. Plenty of restaurants and shops. The apartment was as listed. Photos were an accurate depiction of the unit. We had four adults in our party and it worked well for all of us. Communication with Anabel was excellent. Very timely responses to any and all questions. Super easy checkin. Definitely would stay here again!
