This very private, comfortable, serene estate is walking distance to beach and within 2mi. of town.

Our home is near the sea and surrounded by meadows and stone walls. It is very private retreat - the deer, songbirds and crashing waves are your closest neighbors. You can walk to the beach. The house has been completely renovated with repurposed wood, expansive views and an open floorpplan. We are less than two miles from the town center of Little Compton and about 1.3 mi. to theNature Conservancy's glorious Goosewing Beach. We are walking distance to two fantastic farm stands: Wishingstone Farm and Sweet and Salty Farms .
Enter through the blue barn doors into the downstairs living room with a stone fireplace,chairs and a fold out full futon, This room also has a huge closet behind a sliding barn door filled with extra towels and blankets. This main floor has 3 bedrooms and two full baths. ( one bath has a 6 ft. antique claw foot tub and heated floors) Washer and dryer are on this floor along with a second refrigerator . The closet in the laundry room holds cleaning supplies and first aid needs.
Climb the stairs to the second floor. You may notice that all of the building material is reclaimed locally. (We attempted to add patina to new constructionbut are certified free of lead paint) The tall ceilings are covered in reclaimed barn wood. The beams and upper floor stone fire place mantel and all the trim were salvaged from a historic Fall River textile mill. The woodburning fireplace works well and we supply wood for you first nights fire. On this floor is the kitchen, dining area, second living room and master queen suite with attached full bathroom. The large dining room table can accommodate all guests. This large second floor room boasts a broad expanse of sunny south east facing windows which capture the sunrises and hold midday heat even in the coolest of months. The house is an upside down house with the kitchen and main living room on this second floor to capture the view of the meadows. The left hand side of the library shelf offers many books to peruse... The master suite has a queen bed and full bath with heated floor. A loft ladder behind the fireplace takes you to the upper loft which has two twin beds, a television, a telescope and distant views of the ocean.
Or come outside to indulge in the peaceful rhythm of the south shore....
On the second floor we have a large outdoor porch where there is an expandable cedar dining table that can accommodate everyone along with a gas grill and more seating. An outdoor sectional sofa is the perfect place to sip coffee and watch the sunrise to the east or to enjoy an evening beverage while watching the sunset to the west all the while listening to the waves....
Life outside can also be enjoyed walking the trails cut through our 6 acres of meadow. We have a circular stone campfire area with outdoor seating off of the south east corner of the house. After a long day outside one can also wash off in the large outdoor shower . (In the late afternoon if the sun is just right it heats up the shampoo and shower gel on the shelf) Then hang your towel on the outside line to dry and relax in the hammock! This home is an extremely comfortable, serene, private retreat and a beautiful place to build family memories, escape the city to work remotely or read some books.....
