Beautiful home! The house had multiple gathering areas, allowing for reading, working on puzzles, and watching TV all at the same time. Well stocked kitchen and lovely decor. Flowing stream was peaceful and relaxing.

Outstanding hosts who were overly communicative and incredibly compassionate and accomodatin to our travel plans that were challenged by weather.

Really nice space. The feel of an open farmhouse, but with all the modern amenities you would expect in a newly constructed home. The wood burning fireplace was a nice touch, and the long communal dining table was a nice gathering point.The location is relatively close to downtown Ligonier, but it's far enough off the beaten path that everything is quiet and serene. Highly recommended.

This place is beautiful!! My family and I loved how everything was set up and just the whole feel of the house!! I recommend everyone to stay at this place, you won’t be disappointed at all!!

What a beautiful home. We loved being creek side in the backyard. The owner was quick to respond to questions.

We had a fantastic stay at the Finch House. Check in was simple, the house had everything we could think of, and the outside areas were beautiful. We spent lots of time outside on the porch using the rocking chairs/bench and listening to the creek.Thanks for having us!

Honestly one one the nicest rental houses we’ve ever stayed in. Immaculately clean, lots of room, and well stocked with anything you could need. The outdoor area has plenty of seating and the creek is very peaceful. 10 minute drive into town with great shopping and dining options. If you find yourself in this area I would highly recommend this house!

Finch House is a wonderful property. The location right beside a stream is peaceful. All of the light switches are labeled!! That is a level of detail much appreciated. The entire aesthetic of the home was perfect. I coild have sat for hours outside on the patio or the sheltered shed porch. Thank you John and Kathleen for such a pleasant stay. Definitely exceptional.P.S. As someone who grew up in Westmoreland County, I have always loved the town of Ligonier!

Third stay at the Finch house and we can’t wait to book in the fall. The house is beautiful inside and out and has all of the quality amenities of home (but much cleaner!). Hands down, this is our family’s favorite getaway house.

This house was huge for just the two of us, and we enjoyed it greatly. Chilly season to be spending too much time outside, but it looked beautiful and peaceful.

A home away from home!!!

I stayed for a weekend with friends (middle-aged women), and we were all in love with this charming, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully appointed, and comfortable house. Great location - easy to find and close to the town center. Nice spaces to sit outside for coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening around a fire to enjoy the sounds of the creek. Inside spaces are exactly as pictured, and the house lacks for nothing - plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, games, books, and even a diffuser with the blow dryer, which was much appreciated by those of us with curls :). Comfortable beds, too. Communication with the hosts was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The home was perfect. Picture perfect view out the dining room off the patio of a babbling brook, which was so nice to listen too. Very clean, beautiful decorating, comfortable beds, lots of room, and everything you need to home cook meals. The location was great, a short scenic ride to Laural Mountain if you are staying there to ski.

It is a beautiful home inside and out. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are plentiful. Communication is amazing!

The private location along the creek was so beautiful and peaceful. John was a great host and was available for any questions. My family was so sad to leave. This is a beautiful home that is well stocked with everything you could need. Our son got married this weekend and it was a great place to get ready and also relax before the big day.

We spent 3 nights at this beautifully remodeled house. It was easy to find and was exactly as the VRBO ad said. Lots of space for everyone, it was clean, games for the kids, lots of room for entertaining. We will be back. Thankyou for making our trip a 5 Star trip and we can't wait to go back.

As always the Finch House was an amazing stay! From the open floor plan that provides ample space for our family to spread out and relax, to the comfortable beds, to the large dining table that allowed us to enjoy a meal together Finch House has it all. The weather was perfect so using the grill and having a fire outside by the babbling creek also added to the perfect fall getaway! Thank you for being great hosts and sharing your wonderful property!

We had a wonderful time at John and Kathleen's home. The house was comfortable with lots of seating, plenty of kitchen equipment, a great layout and lots of natural light. Our favorite part was the outdoor space and the covered seating looking out over the creek. The location was an easy drive into town. Overall I would recommend this home for a relaxing family getaway.

We stayed here for a relaxing bachelorette weekend away from everything. The backyard was gorgeous and we had so much fun on the creek, having campfires, and enjoying the outdoor patio. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms where we did not have any issues. Highly recommend.
