Our boathouse has approximately 1200 square feet of fully air-conditioned living space, plus 2 boat wells. It is located on the canals of the Cove District in Sandusky with views of Cedar Point from the front porch. The property has direct water access from the boat slips and a small deck outside the back door of the boathouse. The 1st floor has a nicely equipped kitchen, dining area, living room (couch has a full-sized pull-out bed), a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a den which can be closed off to make a 3rd bedroom with a queen-sized pull-out bed, a full bathroom, and a utility room with a full-size front-load washer and dryer. There are 3 memory foam mattress toppers for both pull-out beds. Upstairs is a bedroom with 2 queen-sized beds and a half bathroom. The living room and all bedrooms have smart TV's and ceiling fans. There are 3 parking spots in front of the house, but please note there is no additional parking. This is not a party house! It is for registered guests only. brbrThe door to the boat wells has a manual security lock. For safety, we recommend keeping this door locked at all times to prevent access to the water. brbrRenters agree to take full responsibility for their own, their families, and their guests' safety and health while on the premises. Renters cannot hold property owners responsible for any injuries, damages, health problems, safety concerns, or loss including death that happen to themselves, their families, or their guests during their stay. Renters assume all risk and responsibility for themselves, their families, and their guests.brbrSorry, but we do not allow pets or service animals. We love animals but several people in our family are allergic to them. No animals allowed.brbrIf you would like to bring a boat/s, one slip accommodates boats up to 27' and the other up to 22'. You must get permission from us in advance, and approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis. Please note that advanced boating and docking experience is recommended.brUpon accepting your request to stay with us, we require you to send to us within 48 hours of booking (or before check-in if you will be checking in before the 48 hours) a list of the guests that will be staying in our home along with their age. Then they will become a registered guest. If we do not receive this information, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. brbrThe premises, property, and amenities are for registered guests only unless prior express permission is given by the host at least 24 hours in advance. No parties or gatherings are permitted on the premises. brbrSorry, but we do not allow pets or service animals. We love animals but several people in our family are allergic to them. No animals allowed. If an animal is brought to our house you will be charged whatever the fee is to have the house completely eradicated of pet hair and dander.brbrRenters agree to take full responsibility for their own, their families, and their guests' safety and health while on the premises. Please move it to the curb on Monday night if it has anything in it. The trash is picked up early Tuesday morning. brbrThere are only 3 parking spots. There is no additional parking anywhere. brbrThe property owner is not responsible for valuables kept on the property by guests. Guest must secure their valuables when leaving the property. brbrRenters are responsible for the cost of missing/lost items (ex: key cards cost $50 each to replace) or damages caused to the equipment, furniture, house, or property by renters or their guests and must reimburse the owner for the appropriate repair or replacement cost. brbrSwimming is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Renters cannot hold property owners responsible for any injuries or damages, health problems, safety concerns, or loss that happen to them or their guests during their stay. brbrIf you fish in the canal, please be sure you are in possession of a fishing license. brbrDo not clean fish inside the apartment. There is no designated fish cleaning station on the premises. This property, Buoy House is basically a less expensive back door to our other home, the Round House with the awesome pool deck but with this unit you have a hot tub too. NOTE: The pool is for paying guests only, No friends of guests as it is semi private. This keeps the crowd down, we have no issues, everyone gets along and enjoys each other. Afterall, hotels have sometimes 50 rooms with one pool. It works well.

If it is discovered that a pet is or has stayed at this property during rental period, the pet will need to be removed, and a fee will be assessed.brPlease understand our refund policy.
