The Wayward Sailor's Boathouse - Minutes to Cedar Point

Just stayed overnight for Cedar Point the next day with my Adult Children and their friends. Clean, Cozy and Close to the Park. No Issues and a responsive and thorough Host.

Property was clean, comfortable and easily accessible.

We found the property clean and well equiped. The location was great, a few blocks from Cedar point and 5 minutes from downtown waterfront. A number of the units in the same area were in need of a face lift but this property had been updated and we'll maintained. Too bad we did not have a boat, have to say the pricing is obviously a function of the boat accommodations. Access to the boathouse is immediately out the rear door. The only negatives i can note is limited parking and I thought the queen beds were too hard. My wife did not agree so just personal preference. The host was great, helpfull with information and responded quickly to our questions. We enjoyed our time in Sandusky.

The place had a nice homey feel to it. Very cozy. As advertised. We had a wonderful time. The property manager was awesome as well.

My hubby, our two kids(ages 21 and 18), our two pups and myself traveled from Minnesota to visit Cedar Point.. This was the first time bringing our dogs to a Vrbo and it was such a nice treat. The house was perfect for our needs. Location, size, tv, and we loved the boat well although we did not spend any time there. Would definitely recommend and also would stay again if we do another Cedar Point trip in the future.

We loved this place! It was perfect for us to go back and forth from the park as often as needed. The host was very attentive to our needs, including dining recommendations! Very nice!

We wanted to visit the area and go to some of the islands and spend multiple days at the amusement park. The location and accommodations could not have been better for our family.

The boathouse was so cute. Very clean also! We had a great time. And jennifer was a great host! Even called us to let us know about events in the area. I would highly recommend this stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the Wayward Sailor. The house is a great location to Cedar Point (about 4 mins) and very comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect spot to relax after a long day at Cedar Point. The house was spotless, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we loved being right there by the water. The host was the best we've ever had--she even shipped a few items back to me after my forgetful son left them behind! Can't wait to stay again on our next trip to Cedar Point!

Had so much fun. The boat dock in house was fantastic. We enjoyed fireworks on the lake. The lake was the best part.

We had a great experience from booking to checking out. Jennifer was an excellent host and The Wayward Sailor’s Boathouse was exactly what we were looking for for our short stay. The house was immaculate and we were very appreciative that it was dog friendly. Would definitely stay again.

We loved everything about our stay! Accommodations were neat and clean and had everything we needed to make our own meals, shower, sleep and hang out as a family (I’m looking at you board games!) There’s an Aldi and Walmart nearby, which we stopped at to get food and fishing supplies- because fishing in the boatwell was one of our favorite things to do! That is, when we weren’t at Cedar Point which was a quick 5 minutes down the road! This was super helpful for us to get back and forth to our pup, who was able to come with us because Wayward Sailor is dog friendly lodging. Thanks, Jennifer! We will definitely be back!

Had a great time at the property after attending all the activities during Ohio Bike Week. Jenny was very kind. Fished in the boat house for fun. Will be back next year.
