Welcome to Brophy Reflections! Built in the early 60's this rambler boasts beautiful sunset views from a bank overlooking Lake Brophy. Bring your personal items along with some food and come stay in our comfortable, tastefully furnished home. You will be drawn to the large living room windows and look out over the lake. Cozy is what you'll feel when you turn on the gas fireplace. We have two Roku TVs, stream your favorites! brbr The dining table seats 6-10 with the two leaves.. The fully furnished kitchen has microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. brbr Upstairs there are three bedrooms and one bath are at the south end of house and can be separated by closing the pocket door. Great for napping and quiet time!brbrIn our remodeled upstairs bathroom you'll find towels, and a limited supply of tp and kleenex. There are wash cloths, hand and bath towels for our guests to use. There is a compact washer/dryer upstairs, and full size machines downstairs.brbr The Master Bedroom has a King bed and a corner window with a lake view. The Blue Bedroom has one queen bed, and one twin. A full size bed is in the Purple Bedroom which looks over the lake. All bedrooms have room darkening shades.brbrDownstairs we have a fourth bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed.brbrDownstairs you'll find a cozy spot with a sofa bed and loveseat. The large ottoman also has a pull out twin bed. Wifi is provided.brbrThe Kitchenette downstairs is furnished but has no dishwasher (dishwasher is in upstairs kitchen.) The downstairs bathroom has a walk in shower with a seat. The downstairs is like an apartment: kitchen, bedroom, bath and living room with a gas fireplace.brbr Go out the downstairs door and walk onto the covered patio. The steps down to the lake are many (37) but there is a landing with a bench where you can take a rest or watch the lake action. Brophy is a quiet lake on the chain. A sand beach area(depending on water level), and a small grassy area is there for you to enjoy. A dock with a boat slip is for your convenience, along with an aluminum canoe, kayak and paddle board. You may swim, jet ski, water ski, fish or whatever. Please have lots of fun but at the same time respectful of the neighbors. brbrOur front yard is family friendly. There is a fire pit with chairs out front. Yes, you may bring your dog with prior approval and additional fee . Dogs must remain on leash, kenneled or downstairs. A Dog Addendum must be signed.brbrBrophy Reflections is less than 10 minutes to Alexandria. Beautiful sandy Latoka beach is only 1.5 miles away and Lake Brophy has a new public beach with a beautiful play center, and bathrooms on the west side of the lake. Go another direction and travel that same distance, just around Lake Cowdry to the bike/walking path; take this path west to the new Brophy beach. Alexandria offers so many outdoor opportunities. During the winter Brophy Reflections is less than half a mile to the snowmobile trail. After a great day of sledding you will come home to a cozy warm house. If you enjoy skiing and snowboarding Andes Tower Hills is about 15 miles away. You can fish on Brophy or go to one of the area lakes. Golfing is convenient as ArrowWood is only a 10 minutes drive. The museums in town are so interesting, shopping is unique, AAAA theatre offers entertainment throughout the year. There is bowling, miniature golf and cinema. Tennis courts, playgrounds and restaurants are right in town. There is always something to do in Alexandria! There are 4 bedrooms (2 on each floor-4 beds are Queen size & there is 1 Twin XL roll away on each floor - 2 total - if needed), 2 full bathrooms (1 on each floor), a jacuzzi tub in the basement bathroom, 2 furnished kitchens (full kitchen on upper level & wet bar kitchenette on lower level), family room on both floors, formal dining room on both floors with tables able to seat at least 8 comfortably or 10+ with the available bench seats, a washer and dryer on each floor, high speed internet, HD LED TVs in both family rooms, an attached garage for use during your stay and a shed by the lake that houses kayaks, life vests, chairs, water toys, yard games and pretty much all you'll need to enjoy beautiful Lake Cowdry.brbrThe beach is hard sand with a boulder lined shore. There is plenty of room to tie up your boat to our new aluminum dock using the affixed slip hooks. Fishing is great right off the dock given there's a drop off about 20' from the end of the aluminum dock where many locals fish regularly. You will love the beautiful sunsets from the deck, as you're enjoying a meal grilled on the Weber gas grill or from one of many fold up camping chairs down by the lake but the fire pit (fire wood not provided, but may be purchased at multiple locations in town 2-miles away). You can grill your food and sip on your favorite beverages while watching the calm, clear waters of Lake Cowdry. There is central A/C on the main floor and window unit A/C in the basement though it is rarely needed given the amount of shade our home gets and the many windows allowing for great cross ventilation.
