(you can have more if children). We ABSOLUTELY cannot allow large groups, and this can not be a party house, dancing, bouncing, or hosting events on the main floors. NO PARTIES, etc putting stress on the older timbers. Our beach cottage sits on Plymouth Long Beach, a peninsula that is 3 miles long and juts out into Cape Cod Bay. The cottage is the first on the beach road and is situated in the middle of the peninsula with Plymouth harbor on the back side and the open ocean across the road in the front. There are decks on both sides where you can enjoy watching the gorgeous sunrises in the front and the spectacular sunsets on the harbor side in the back. Views are also panoramic from the windows inside.brThe space:brThe cottage has a very open concept. The upstairs is one big bedroom with a sliding glass door to a deck overlooking the ocean. Downstairs has an open living room, dining, kitchen area with a deck off of the kitchen overlooking Plymouth harbor and a deck in the front of the house as well.brThere is a private beach on the harbor side.brbrThe house is off the grid and runs on batteries powered by solar and a generator. We ask our guests to limit the use of water and electricity. It is accessed by a separate entrance off the front of the house and is a completely separate space from the house. brbrCentral heat and AC and private mini splits in all bedrooms keeps the Whale Tail at just the right temperature. The kitchen is a great place to cook and entertain. Fully stocked, you won't need a thing! The kitchen opens onto the deck and grilling is a must year-round. The gas grill is set up year round, and the retractable awning on the porch is great for spending some time in the shade (or if it rains!). The ample dining room seats eight around a beautiful cherry dining set for a more formal gathering, complete with giraffes. brbrAll that Plymouth has to offer is just steps from your door. Something is always happening year round for kids and adults - day and night - any season... but a quiet and safe enough street for some serious chilling if that is what you are after.brbrThis house is a great central location for day trips too.
