In the years we have lived here, we have never been snowed in but that is a possibility during the winter months. The property is serene and quiet 90% of the time. However, potential noises include; neighbors riding their four wheelers, gunshots from other farms, and loud vehicles on the road. The beauty of our land is that all of these occur a fair distance from the cottage and is often little more than background noise.

This brand new modern cabin, located on 100 acre, is a great place for a group of up to 6 to stay in a peaceful setting and enjoy creation. With two bedrooms, and a full bath this cozy house set among the trees is a great place for a couple's getaway or vacation with the kids.brbrCoffee on the front porch, walking the trails, and being visited by the resident farm dogs are the top things guests enjoy during their time.brbrWe live on the same property as the cottage so we will probably see each other at least once. We would love to chat if both of our schedules allow!brbrThere is off street parking next to the cottage with enough space for at least two vehicles. House is entered via a keyless lock. You will receive the code shortly before your stay.brbrThere is a piece of land that lies in the rolling, bluegrass covered hills of Kentucky that reminds one of days gone by. This cottage is located on 100 acres, some of which you will have access to. There is a lot to explore; including a walking trail, a creek to wade in, a picnic spot with swing and ninja line and just the overall beauty of God's creation. All of this is to be enjoyed at your own pace and your own risk.br2. This land is our home, as well as home to two other households. We ask that you respect the area around these homes by staying on marked trails. There are also two other vacation rentals on the same ridge as this house. Please be respectful of their space as well. br3. There are two dogs and three cats on the property. All four are friendly and likely to show up around the cottage at some point during your stay. If they become a nuisance please do not hesitate to let us know. br4. This rural setting comes with a lot of perks and a few drawbacks. brThe road to the property is a small, winding country road. In the six years we have lived here, we have never been snowed in but that is a possibility during the winter months. brThe property is serene and quiet 90% of the time. However, potential noises include; neighbors riding their four wheelers, gunshots from other farms, and loud vehicles on the road. The beauty of our land is that all of these occur a fair distance from the cottage and is often little more than background noise. br5. One of the rooms has four single beds. This consists of two twin beds, both of which have a twin size trundle with them.

Welcome to Holland Estate! You will love this spacious home located less than 5 minutes from The Ark Encounter; we are a short drive from The Creation Museum. Close to Lexington, Cincinnati and Louisville. brbrAs you walk in from the circle driveway, you enter the foyer of this lovely home on the main floor. To the right are bedrooms 1 and 2 as well as bathroom 1 (bathroom 1 is a private, attached bathroom to bedroom 1). To the left are bedrooms 3,4, and 5, bathrooms 2 and 3, the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Bedrooms 2-5 can use the half bath (listed as bathroom 2) and bathroom 3. The balcony is on this floor and is assessable form the dining room and the master bedroom, which is listed as bedroom 1 on the platform. brbrDirectly across from the front entryway, there is a staircase leading you to the bottom level. On this level, there is an additional living room, a sitting room perfect for games, bedrooms 6 & 7, as well as bathroom 3. Bathroom 3 is attached to bedroom 7, and bedroom 7 is attached to bedroom 6. It is also the primary bathroom for guests in these bedrooms. brbrThere is an in-ground pool on the property as well. The Old Home Place has the beauty of the country but only minutes from town. We are 4.2 miles from the Ark Encounter and less than an hour to The Creation museum, Cincinnati and Lexington. Our home is very peaceful, with something for all ages. The view from the back patio is stunning. We sit on 100 acres of land and there is a lot of nature to take in. A nice stroll back the ridge, or a game of pool, will offer you an enjoyable time away from home. brThe Old Home Place was recently purchased with the intent of putting my great great grandparents farm back together. If it was still standing the original farm house would be almost a century old, however the original barn is still standing. We have a very nice view out the back including the pond (sorry no swimming allowed) and wildlife.Our beautiful farm can accommodate larger groups, we are a 3 bedroom home with 1 queen bed, a full bed, and a chaise lounge, these are upstairs. Downstairs we 1 full bed, 1 roll away bed and 1 air mattress. We have 2 bathrooms one of which has a jacuzzi tub, and 2 living room areas. Our kitchen located upstairs has all of your major appliancess, as well as the dishes, pots and pans needed to prepare a meal. There is a Keurig with assorted coffee's and a toaster. We have a large fenced in back yard, with plenty of room for outside activities. We offer high speed internet, cable t.v., DVD player with a large selection of DVD's. Other amenities include hairdryers, ironing board and iron, linens, on site laundry, and digital alarm clocks. We also have parking that would accommodate an R.V. or boat if needed. We are sure once you arrive you will want to spend most of your time outside taking in the scenic 360 degree view of rural farm life. We also have a care takers unit in the back part of the garage. This unit is attached to the home but completely separated by a hallway and two locked doors. The care takers live there full time and are only there to be available in case there is an issue that may arise. Please free to email with any further questions.
