Luxury Lakefront Lodge at Henry's Lake near Yellowstone NP West Entrance

Island Park, Idaho, United States

We are offering a luxury year-round lodge, which we call Foxwood Cove, on Henry's Lake, which is the northern most part of Island Park. Completed in 2018, this home is large with 140 feet of private shoreline and a large dock where guests can dock up to 3 boats. Bald eagles are regularly seen on the cove and in the trees of our property. The property is located 18 miles from the West Entrance (about a 20 minute drive) of Yellowstone National Park. It is located on Henry's Lake, a world-famous trout fishing lake. brbrOur home is professionally cleaned.brbrThe home is specifically designed for large groups who also want privacy. All seven bedrooms have private baths. This home features many amenities not found in most rentals. We have tried to create to ultimate rental property, brbrThe home is situated on a cove that leads to a small dam, which is nearby. The cove is beautiful and is sheltered from the wind, which makes it superior to the main lake for kayaking, paddle boards, canoeing, and other activities. (There is a vendor who will deliver and pickup from the property. Contacts us and we can provide more information.) For winter sports, the home is very close to snowmobile trailheads - they are just down the road the home is located on so you can snowmobile to them from the home. The roads are maintained all winter long.brbrWhile we are strictly limited to 15 guests by the CCRs and our permit, our home is designed for more guests, meaning the home has bed space that provides flexibility in the sleeping arrangements for 15. The home is new and has many features not found in many other rentals, such as air conditioning and ensuite baths in every bedroom. It has over 2000 sq ft of covered porch on all sides of the lodge. The landscaped lot provides space to play and relax and the perimeter trees offer privacy. It features an outdoor grill and a gas firepit.brbrThe lodge is designed for family groups. It has a large great room with a gas fireplace on the main floor. There is large game room (pool table, air hockey) with seating area in the basement, and also a home theater. So when you're done with your outside activities, the home offers plenty of space to gather and to relax.brbrEach bedroom has private bathroom featuring a large walk-in shower. The upstairs master also has a large tub. Some of the showers also feature hand-held shower heads in addition to the standard shower head. Finally, none of the bedrooms share a common wall. They are always separated by hallways, closets, or bath. Six of the bedrooms have king-size beds featuring Sleep Number adjustable mattresses. One of the bedrooms is a bunk room with sleeping space for 5. For additional flexibility, the couch in the game room also makes into a queen bed. brbrThe home features a large gourmet kitchen with two refrigerator/freezers. In order to minimize time cleaning up after meals, the kitchen has two full-size dishwashers. The adjacent dining area features a large dining room table. The great room, dining room, and kitchen all have views of the lake.brbrWhatever the weather brings, you will always be comfortable as the lodge has two central HVAC systems. If you need to do laundry, we have a large dedicated laundry room with two washers and two dryers so you can quickly get through the laundry and back to better things. The lodge also has a built-in back up power so if the power goes out, it's only for a few seconds until most of the home is powered again.brbrThe lodge features high speed internet (30mbs download and 20mbs upload). Most homes only offer 1.5-5mbs. There are 7 flat screen TVs in addition to the 13 foot theater screen.brbrIn order to ease your arrival, the lodge has programmable deadbolt locks that will be set to your unique code so there will be no waiting to walk into your vacation. There is a large parking area (space for 6 cars). brbrThe home is set back 75 feet from the lake. There is a large lawn to play on, a BBQ for grilling and a propane fire pit with plenty of seating for gathering under the stars. The fire pit seating features Adirondack chairs from LL Bean as does the porch, which include an outdoor dining table and additional chairs and rockers to relax in. On a warm sunny day you can lay out on the 700 sq ft dock.brbrSince this is a luxury lodge, you will find some basic items stocked in the kitchen. You won't have to strip the beds or take the trash to the dump -- a common chore for many rentals. brbrFor your security and the security of the property, we have installed video surveillance cameras on the exterior of the property and within the locked storage and mechanical rooms. There are no cameras inside guest areas of the home.brbrThere is no smoking on the property. We suggest that guests that smoke or who will have members in their group that smoke NOT rent our property. See the rental agreement and rules. brbrWe normally do not accept reservations with Sunday check-ins; however, we may be willing to do so on a case by case basis when we can arrange to have to the house cleaned prior to Sunday. You will need to contact us to change the settings to allow this for your specific date.

In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!brbrbrbrInteraction with Guests:brbrIf guests have any questions or concerns during their stay, Please call or text, we do not monitor Airbnb messages late in the evening or early morning. Summer months are fine with a small car but four wheel drive is a must in the winter!brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrWhat to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. Contact information is listed in our information that we send. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, we're happy to help!
