Patios Hot Tub Spacious Parking Yellowstone

Island Park, Idaho, United States

With two covered patios on each side, the 1600 sq ft cabin has spectacular views! Stay warm and relax in the hot tub right, grill up some food, or roast s'mores on the shared fire pit right outside the door. The main living area has a couple comfy couches, beautiful gas fireplace, and a smart TV. Down the hall is a washer and dryer set to make you feel right at home. brbrThe cabin is located in a new area off the old highway, making it close to everything! Short driving distance (25 minutes) to the West entrance of Yellowstone, (5 minutes) to the golf course or gas station/grocery store. Also great access to trails for ATVs/snowmobiles located just off the old highway. brbrWiFi, towels, sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, are included. Drive way with parking space and room for UTV/snowmobile trailers. (Campers/RVs are against local covenants)brbrOne or two dogs are welcome. The pet fee is $20 per dog per night. And we require that they never get on the furniture or beds. Even good dogs can get anxious when left alone in a new place and that is when they damage things. So your dog must be in a crate if you leave him behind in the cabin. (We do not provide the crate.) brTo keep the cabin beautiful, you are responsible to pay for any damage caused by your dog. Because the extra cleaning will interfere with the cabin being ready for guests later that day, if there is damage or dog hair on the beds or furniture, then the extra cost is a minimum of $100.brbrYou'll have access to the entire cabin including the hot tub, grill, shared fire pit, washer/dryer, and the parking space out front! (RV's and camper trailers not allowed) The fire pit is shared with the loft next door on a first come first serve basis. Usually, there is propane for the grill and some wood to burn near the fire pit. If not, you're responsible for filling up the propane tank or getting fire wood at Robins Roost gas station just a couple minutes away.brbrI won't be present during your stay but available for any questions or concerns. Please call or text to let me know and I'm happy to help.brbrOnly 12 miles/25 minutes away from West entrance into Yellowstone National park and close to Henry's Fork on the Snake River. Also the cabin is within about 5 minutes away from a couple restaurants and a gas station/grocery store where you can get anything you may need or forgot.brbrThere isn't any public transportation in the area so you'll need to have a car to get around. There 700+ miles of trails that you can ride motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles etc on. We have ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles available for rent if you're looking for a different way to explore the area other than in a car.brbrFrom mid-December to March you can depend on snow in Island Park. The roads are plowed well, but it would be a good idea to bring a vehicle that works well in the snow. A truck with clearance, 4WD or AWD is best.brbrTake an adventure on the hundreds of miles of trails for snowmobiles, UTVs, and ATVs right out the back door. We also rent out snowmobiles, UTVs, and ATVs as well and can arrange a rentals for you!brbrWe ask that you do a couple simple things when checking out like take your trash to dumpster outside, load and start dishwasher, wash towels and leave them drying, pull sheets off of beds that are slept in and leave them on beds. We do this to make sure the cleaning service has enough time to get the cabin ready for the next guests and to keep fees lower for you.

So many things to do and Bob was always responsive to any questions we had about local places to experience. My two daughters, granddaughter, wife, mom, and son-in-law all stayed here. We hiked in Yellowstone park, rented side-by-sides 4-wheelers in the forest, played countless games of pool and ping pong in the game room, had a nice boat dock so we could bring our boat for surfing, wakeboarding, and beautiful morning boat rides to the restaurant on the other side of the lake. Went fishing at Henry`s lake just up the road. So many memories that we will never forget in a place where I already miss having morning coffee on the patio enjoying the view.brbrKendal`s Experience: This property is stunning! The home is decorated in upscale mountain decor. It is spacious, luxurious and equipped with everything you could need.brThe outside was absolutely beautiful. A deck, patio, lawn, fire pit, grill private beach and boat dock in a mountainous surrounding. The outside amenities were probably the best part for us. A sunset boat ride and surfing `on glass` with a fiery sunset and full moon rising...amazing! Couldn`t be more beautiful!! This property is all you could want. Don`t miss the experience!brbrKaylie`s Experience: This is THE place to stay if you plan on this area. Ideal location, great amenities, and well taken care of home. Love being on the lake, quiet mornings, fire pit in the evening, and beautiful view of the stars at night. Was just what we were looking for on our trip. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!brbrKent`s Experience: This home was everything we expected and more! Spotless, huge open areas, the backyard is to die for, the views, and all the little details. The master bathroom has a bath/shower combination. In the rear of the cabin is a large mudroom, that has a washer and a dryer and a door to the rear deck. The rear deck is very private and looks out over the adjoining Targhee National Forest that rises to the heights of Sawtelle Mountain. The upstairs bathroom has a shower. Up a log ladder tucked under apex of the cathedral ceiling is an eagle’s nest loft. Your children will love to play there!br brOut front the extensive redwood deck with its log railing looks offers views of aspens and pine trees, which creates a great sense of seclusion. There are also great opportunities for cross-country skiing - drive south on Highway 20 to Harriman State Park and enjoy the peace and quiet there. Or go to the world-famous RendezVous Ski trails in West Yellowstone and visit during the yearly Ski Festival around Thanksgiving, or take part in the yearly RendezVous Ski Races in March. brbrBack country skiing can be had right from the house. Ski up the foothills of Sawtelle Peak from the back door!brbrThe fishing in Henry’s Lake and surrounding streams is a trout angler's dream and this area is a world-renowned fishery. The lake is home to the 'Henry's Lake 'Lunker,' a cutthroat-rainbow hybrid that can easily weigh up to 10 pounds. The lake also offers an abundance of brook, rainbow, and native cutthroat trout. If you're looking for a rich and authentic western experience in quiet and beautiful surroundings, with easy access to Yellowstone Park, you're sure to enjoy your stay at Mountain Lake Cabin!brbrA note about your choices of vehicle and clothing: While this home is very easily accessible from 2 major two-lane highways (87 and 287), remember that you are visiting the Rocky Mountains. The driveway and short gravel access road to the house will be plowed of snow and are graded regularly, but we do recommend choosing a rental car appropriate for the season, weather and terrain in Montana. A 2WD vehicle will be fine most of the time, but 4WD and AWD vehicles are recommended during the snowy season which can begin as early as September all the way through June. Please be sure to check weather forecasts regularly. Weather in the mountains can be very dynamic and change quickly. People joke about experiencing all 4 seasons in one day once in a while. Keep various clothing layers and rain jackets handy while you are enjoying your outdoor activities, so you can always be safe and comfortable. brbrPlease visit the Yellowstone National Park website to stay abreast of any temporary or seasonal road closures in the Park, and to take advantage of all the detailed info there about the many amazing park attractions, plus videos and helpful trip planning guides.
